Erwin_Hans Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 I'v downloaded this J-7/F-7 pack by gerald14,these birds are cool, but there is also some mistakes For the J-7IIA/J-7IIM/J-7M/J-7MP/J-7P/J-7MB/J-7N,These can be used by one modle But not similar to the typical mig-21f/f-13s.The pilot tube of J-7I/F-7A/J-7II/J-7B are longer and under the nose. But the for J-7IIAs,is short and on the side of the nose. For the J-7Es,They are based on J-7IIA,and with double delta wings. Some Pics J-7 I/II http://www.afwing.com/images/j7/J7II.jpg J-7 IIA http://www.afwing.com/images/j7/j7iib.jpg J-7E http://www.afwing.com/images/j7/10.JPG Wait for more Chinese birds.. Quote
kukulino Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 (edited) Hi pilot  This is from Part One J-7II and F-7 Pack by gerald14 introduction: "Info For the J-7E and later types are thirdwire's Mig-21F-13 models not new ones, since a harddrive crash I lost the J-7 models but not my MiG-21's. Once I start doing the models, I will upload them." Well we haven't got original J-7/F-7 models for this times, I think. So the best way is improvisation. I am not modder (but I will be, I hope ), so I need improvisation to fly my favourite planes Edited December 16, 2007 by kukulino Quote
+Wrench Posted December 16, 2007 Posted December 16, 2007 From the question, I can assume you've also not looked in the Knowledge Base, "Weapons & Loadout Fixes" Thread...there are several note section on the J/F-7 series. Much is explained, there, and well worth the time reading them. Wrench kevin stein Quote

Wrench kevin stein No...I'v seen the "Info For the J-7E and later types are thirdwire's Mig-21F-13 models not new ones, since a harddrive crash I lost the J-7 models but not my MiG-21's. Once I start doing the models, I will upload them." But this is just for J-7E and later types, but not for J-7IIA,this is also the reason I wirte J-7IIA series more. Still thanks gerald14 Quote
kukulino Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 (edited) OK. I understand it. But I know nothing about J-7 3D model WIP. Marcfighter is working on some chinese jets. I voted for Q-5 Fantan in some topic a few months ago. There were more chinese aircrafts on Macellos page, I think. But I see just J-8II Finback for this time as WIP there. +Muesli Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 Is that a proposed new one, or just a sketch some designer dreamed up while thinking of a Eurofighter?? Would be hilarious and cool to see this plane get into the PLAAF so quickly. As they say here in Holland: "Beter goed gejat dan slecht verzonnen"! Greetz Muesli Quote

REAL FACT: J-10 was copy of the IAI lavi. nearly no differences to the airframe. one Lavi airframe sold to chinese lavi was indigenously produced as J-10 Quote

+SayethWhaaaa Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 :off_topic: :off_topic: REAL FACT: J-10 was copy of the IAI lavi. nearly no differences to the airframe. one Lavi airframe sold to chinese lavi was indigenously produced as J-10 Seriously dude, are you high? IAI had a hand in helping the development of the J-10 with massive ammounts of data accrued from the Lavi program (specifically the data was aerodynamic models of canard delta configurations and some FBW related materials and some other stuff) but there's no question it's Chinese and at least a generation (maybe slightly more) more advanced. The J-10 is the Lavi as much as the Ching Kuo is an F/A-18. Now... that said, back on topic. There was a pack of JF-7s that had at least 8 or 9 skins representing a host of PLAAF TFSqns, but it looks as though it's no longer here. It was a bit buggy and occassionally textures would move (somehow) creating some problems. I'll look into what happened with it. Quote
