MAKO69 Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Well either way....and the Phantom is the greatest fighter. :Stirpoticonwhichisn'tavailable: In its day it was. Quote
MAKO69 Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 (edited) The phantom will always be my favorite but I have to give the crusader it's "props" it fully earned the nickname Mig Master, if you had to get into "knife range" dogfight in Vietnam the men who were there all say it was the best. Fix bayonets. Its go time. Edited February 12, 2009 by MAKO69 Quote
edave Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 ah....detaildetailsdetails. Anyway, time to make some skins for the new C version Any news? Need C model skins! And thanks for everything so far! -Rgds- Tom Quote
+Gocad Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 (edited) Well, after 11 months of working hard on this skin I have managed to make some progress. At that pace it will probably be ready for release in about six months or so. (Note that I did not say "two weeks!"....after all, I try to make exact statements about upcoming releases...then again, some parts of this post should not be taken too serious...) +Gocad Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 C-model skins? Some pre-Vietnam (read: 1960) skins okay? Quote
+Dave Posted January 22, 2010 Author Posted January 22, 2010 Gocad, you skin em and I'll download em. Quote
Bearwolf Posted January 25, 2010 Posted January 25, 2010 Awesome. I Love Last Gunfighter!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
+Gocad Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 Coming up next: VF-62 Boomerangs (F-8C & F-8E versions) Quote
+Gocad Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 (edited) Just out of curiosity...would it matter if the Modex numbers were not in a consecutive order (i.e. instead of 200, 201, 202 etc use something like 204, 207, 201...)? EDIT: Added some random(?) pics for no reason... VF-24 (1967) VF-24 (1965) Edited February 8, 2010 by Gocad Quote
+Gocad Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Testing skin in SF2 Got to admit though that I still prefer the old folder structure. Quote
+Dave Posted February 20, 2010 Author Posted February 20, 2010 No you do not need to have them in order. I agree with you about the folder structure, I liked having all my skins and decal in one area but Im used to it now. Quote
+Gocad Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 Needs a bit less green and more white. Should be the last C model skin for now. Quote
+Gocad Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 ^ "No plan encounter with reality" Anyway, Osprey Publishing recently released this: ...which prompted me to take another look at those Sundowner skins I started working over a year ago needless to say, the same Osprey book convinced me to go back to the drawing board.... and while I am at it I might finish the Shamrocks skin I posted about as well. +Gocad Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 Clearing out the paintshop... Now I just need to find the strength to zip and upload them Quote
+Gocad Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 ... Should be the last C model skin for now. Quote
delta_lima Posted September 4, 2012 Posted September 4, 2012 (edited) Hello Gocad! Just stumbled across this thread - some of the Crusaders paints I've always hoped here have been featured here!! Bravo on a great job! Two questions: 1) As I'm running SF2/WoV2/WoI2/WoE2, I'm assuming the paints would work best on this version of the MF Crusader? http://combatace.com...der-super-pack/ 2) Was this VMF-321 scheme ever modelled - either for the OEM Crusader or the MF version? It is likely one of the most striking (albeit shor-lived) schemes for Marine F-8s ... would love in the sim. If not available, no problem - this was not a request - just a query. I searched the downloads and didn't see it - but you folks are likely a lot smarter than me at finding the gems .... Thanks, DL Edited September 4, 2012 by delta_lima Quote
Kyot54 Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Ok, I downloaded and installed the F-8 skin packs, 1 and 2. But when I fly, the nose numbers and the danger intake markings aren't showing up? I see from pictures they should be there. Thoughts? Quote
Wrench Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 if they're decals, check the decals ini for proper pathways, and to make sure the decals actually exist in some folder or another Quote
Kyot54 Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 Yep, that was it, a little to copy and paste happy for my own good. What can I say, I'm a brilliant idiot :/ Quote
