Last deployment we had a helo the was hit by small arm fire one of the rounds set off the extra sunburst the were inappropriately stored in the hellhole. downed the "bird". A B-1B chaff dispenser blow a coffee can (size and weight) container full of chaff clear of the tail...at 540 knots. You do NOT want to mess with these things. lazboy 1 Posted March 13, 2008 The strange thing is that the incident has not been reported here in the UK on either the National or regional TV or Radio news or any of the National papers and the only paper that has reportedly covered the story is a free paper handed out at Supermarkets the equivalent of your Walmart. We don't tend to worry unduly about these things as we are always digging up unexploded ordanance in our back gardens left over from some past conflict the fields around our house in Sussex are full of military remains dating as far back as the Romans!
