One report noted that unexploded ordnance had killed about 38,000 people in Indochina since that war ended in 1975.

A B-1B chaff dispenser blow a coffee can (size and weight) container full of chaff clear of the tail...at 540 knots.

You do NOT want to mess with these things.

The strange thing is that the incident has not been reported here in the UK on either the National or regional TV or Radio news or any of the National papers and the only paper that has reportedly covered the story is a free paper handed out at Supermarkets the equivalent of your Walmart.

We don't tend to worry unduly about these things as we are always digging up unexploded ordanance in our back gardens left over from some past conflict the fields around our house in Sussex are full of military remains dating as far back as the Romans!

I'm sure there aren't too many unexploded Roman devices left around.
