+Julhelm Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 I didn't bother changing back the fat wing to a thin wing since I didn't feel it was worth the trouble. If it's that important I might reconsider, though. Quote
+streakeagle Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 Cool to see a slick canopy (flush with spine) and small nose. There are some variants that can be made of these early prototypes such as without the IR chin pod and early style intakes. While the bigger radar and bubbled up canopy made the aircraft much more capable, I like the early F-4s with the small noses and sleek canopies :) Quote
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 I ever wanted to this this early project in a game, thank you very much Jul Quote
MAKO69 Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 (edited) How bout the early straight winged mock up that was cool looking too. The missles were on retractable pylons in the mock up. And the air intakes were curved into the top part of the intake. MAKO69 Posted May 16, 2008 Posted May 16, 2008 You going to release this very cool. I didn't bother changing back the fat wing to a thin wing since I didn't feel it was worth the trouble. If it's that important I might reconsider, though. Quote
+Corktip_14 Posted May 17, 2008 Posted May 17, 2008 That's a helluva good idea mate! Would be perfect for, let's say, a late Bering Straight campaign. Quote
+Corktip_14 Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 Mhhhh, sorry, but I think it's time to bump this one! Any news Julhelm? Quote
+Crusader Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 inner wing pylons would need a straight leading edge... USN style  Quote
Toryu Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 And F4H-1s didn't have maneuvering slats  Quote
column5 Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 Wasn't it a one seater? No, that was the AH-1. When they changed the mission to interceptor a second seat was added. Quote
Spinners Posted October 18, 2008 Posted October 18, 2008 Nice! Lose the IR seeker, add a nose probe and we'll have 'SKYBURNER'. http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=htt...GIH_en%26sa%3DN Quote
