+Piecemeal Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 Does anybody out there have decals for the Irish Air Corps? I've already installed the latest Nations Pack and unfortunately it's not present. I've also gone through the Decal Creation Tutorial but since I don't have a PaintShop program or anything similar I'm like a dead fish in water on this. If anybody out there has any I'd be grateful enough to make sure they'd be put to good use  Quote
PGC Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 May be you can try this one ! Have fun Aer_Chor_Nah_Eireann.zip Quote
+Piecemeal Posted May 18, 2008 Author Posted May 18, 2008 Thanks very much 'mo chara' (my friend) . What website did you get that from? Would love to get some authentic serial nums, etc if they have them there. I suppose I could always try myself. Keep an eye out on the photo gallery.. Quote
PGC Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 I just took the roundel in this Website and made the "TGA" file with PSP5. For "some authentic serial num", unfortunatly "mo chara", you have to do them by yourself ! Try to find copy of PSP5 (at least), it's quite easy to do decal with it. Quote

Serial numbers are a pretty easy number to perform. I'll be going on a surf patrol after this for squadron patches. Keep an eye on the gallery for the results of my personal Irish Air Corps 'revamp' Quote
+Bongodriver Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 Hi Ultramax, There is a freeware paint programme I use alot, it's FREE 100% and it can do anything a potential skinner or decal creator might need it's called paint.net and it's easy to use, I don't have any association with them, but I have been pushing this software as much as I can, the reason being you said you don't have PSP, you don't need to buy PSP because this software if free, did I mention it's free Quote
the test pilot Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 (edited) nice. i've been looking for this since i joined to CA Thanks my comrades EDIT craigbrieley, are you talking of GIMP? Edited May 18, 2008 by the test pilot Quote
+Bongodriver Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 (edited) craigbrieley, are you talking of GIMP? Nope, it's called Paint.NET. http://www.getpaint.net/ Edited May 18, 2008 by craigbrierley Quote
+Piecemeal Posted May 18, 2008 Author Posted May 18, 2008 Nope, it's called Paint.NET. http://www.getpaint.net/ That's the best news a modder could get on a Sunday afternoon with nothing to do but mod . The Irish Air Corps attack fighter inverntory in real life is laughable at best compared to the rest of Europe . It'd be nice to at least wish for a credible fighter inventory. Ahhh..... dreams, eh?! I was thinking of d/loading the A-4K Kiwi skin and working on that as an experiment. Thank again for the info on the freeware Quote
Wrench Posted May 18, 2008 Posted May 18, 2008 Don't forget to fade the base colored part about 85% -- that'll give it a painted on look in game (with thanks Dave for that tip!) Wrench kevin stein Quote
