I have a lightning fast Pentium 4 Extreme Edition which blew anything else out of the water when I first got it.

Now it has been (slightly) overtaken by Intel Dual and Quad Cores, but it still does the job nicely.

Next to that, 2 GB RAM, a 7.1 Soundblaster and an NVidia 8800 with 1GB memory.

It is all packed in a neat and very silent Shuttle system, so not bulky and noisy.

Yeah, that's my toy!

I've just had a new base unit and moved from a 3.06Ghz single core to a 3.0Ghz E8400 dual core with a GeForce NVidia 8800GT. I still leave shadows and reflections off but everything else is on high, including water, and the FPS keeps up with what the game is trying to deliver. Only thing was that I botched up some of my archiving and will have to start from scratch with my WOE install. Never mind, it's all good fun!

Well my old machine is 1.7 single core 512 DDR1 RAM with 64 MB VGA card , I get a smooth ride when everything is on LOW graphical effects , I lately bought the new WOI (this game is a big wow ) and its runing well, on low graphics offcourse loool.

I wanted to overclock the Damn VGA card but I dont know how, BTW my machine is Dell inspiron 8600, anyone knows how to overclock it ??

I wonder, is it feasible to replace a single core with a double core without replacing the motherboard?

Thing is blisteringly fast.

I researched and hand picked the components, myself.

I made a damned good choice on the motherboard.

She has a dual core in her, now.

She's capable of taking a quad core, if I chose.

As long as the motherboard supports, I'd say it would be worthwhile. Go to 2 gig RAM first tho...cheap these days.
