It's like "Sapfire-22" history: Most Mig-21 was two variant of radar: 1) RP-21 (early variant is RP-9-21) "CD30-T" family - (CD-30T, CD-30TP, R-1L, R-2L); 2) RP-22 "Sapfire-21" family - RP-22S, RP-22SM - "Sapfire-21M" ect. I work for russian MoD and write some soft for new russian planes, and >80% press releases of our planes is DESINFORMATION, i dont know why, i not work with press... P.S. The HAL Marut however is, and is battle proven against Pakistan in several skirmishes between '63 and '85. So, it is yours Silverbolt. Take it away!!! Among the F-16C, were several of the block 40, called Night Falcon, could carry out attacks because night with the lantrin and LGBs in precise attacks. However for some reason, they could not use that kind of weapon / sensor. question. 1) How many F-16 in war and could use this apparatus LGBs attack using? 2) Why the F-16 that had this ability rarely lantrin could use in war? Aim-9E is a late sidewinder than Aim-9D, but why the D version had a superior performance than E? and Why USAF didn't used the D version? If you're referring to the USAAF fighters, especially the WWII veterans like the P-38, P-40, P-47, P-51, P-61, etc they were given the designation 'P' which stands for 'Pursuit'. (the Navy fighters had the 'F' designation though.. eg. F4F, F6F, F4U, F9f etc) All American fighter planes recieved the 'F' for 'Fighter' designation after WWII, when the USAAF became the USAF...
