Yeah, that's the one. If you could tell me which stuff is which and how it's labeled it'd be of great help :)

That pit looks like one that belonged to the -35BM.

yes,but is more similar to the 27M proposal (su27m was old designation of su-35 canard model) than developped into 37 testbed, the 35BM one here depicted is more similar to the glass pit of the terminator and the earlier 35.

35bm is the choice right now of the VVS,but earlier config with canard and tall vert fins was more sexy!

For me the sexiest russian built plane ever produced!

Cool! What do the labels translate to? I suppose that the little tape bars at the bottom are temp/fuel related and the dials above are tachometers?

Lol !

I'm quite happy to be able to count backwards, just like Helen Mirren in 2010

I can actually understand the cyrillic alphabet and it's pronounciation and can say the words as I read them, but obviously I don't know what 99.9% of it actually means !

I actually took a year's worth of Russian back in my college days...

Forgotten just about all of it though.

Yep...at a military academy no less. I took it because I was interested and I thought it would be useful.

I'm not understanding why you be surprised that a country would allow learning other languages. There's courses in Chinese, Farsi, etc.

Public universities here offered courses in foreign languages for FREE, and most of them took Japanese (at least for the obvious reasons, and for some of us, well, the obvious). Though many people bug out after the first semester because things got tough.

an...

i just think in cold war the rivality beween USA X USSR wouldn't allow the people to know the enemy's language...at least here when you are coursing the College you need to learn English or Spanish(honestely, it's more like "demmanded") Due to Globalization and bla bla bla

just my stupid mentality(1360862747_affcf8581a.jpg?v=0) now i know i'm allways growing and learning...

anyway in a military academy it makes perfect sense for me but not in a civil one(as i thought) :good:

Actually, it makes perfect sense to know the other side's language. It compromises their com and info security. Plus, it helps out a lot for diplomacy to actually speak to them in their native language.

Russian language is not easy to learn. I had it 7 years in the school and my biggest success by using this language was to find a toilett in Moscow.
