+Hinchinbrooke Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Thinking about it, I have a Javelin sound file and will upload it, if anyone is interested. I contacted the RAF Museum at Hendon a couple of years ago, asking if they had any sound recordings of the Javelin. Apparently they don't (that was the response from the archive guy), but I did manage to locate a recording of Javelins passing over Farnborough from the late '50's (I think). Anyway, the Javelin had a very idiosyncratic sound. My sample ain't perfect (see '50's recording), but I'm prepared to rummage amongst my back-up files if people think it'll work. Quote
+LloydNB Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 (edited) A little WIP. When I'm happy with the panel lines, I'll do some other squadrons. Edited February 7, 2009 by LloydNB Quote
Syrinx Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Nice one Lloyd. My panel lines were total pants...I hate doing them ! Looking forward to this, thanks ! Quote
Gunrunner Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Yep, you're right C5, IIRC only the FAW.9 ever received it in service, and even then, very few did and had a new designation in service, FAW.9® or something along these lines. Quote
+LloydNB Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 I've nearly finished the basic skin (using Syrinx's original as a starting point). Next I'll start on a few squadron markings. Quote
+Spectre_USA Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Now that would like very nice escorting some Vulcans... Quote
Spinners Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 Now that would like very nice escorting some Vulcans... Only if the Vulcans slow down Quote
