+Julhelm Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 I really wanted to do the old VF-151 scheme with the colorful eagle but couldn't make it fit properly :( Quote
EricJ Posted June 28, 2012 Author Posted June 28, 2012 Well you can only do so much , what does it look like? Quote
+Julhelm Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 My bad, I meant the VF-51 F-4 on this page: http://www.markstyling.com/usn_f_4s2.htm Quote
EricJ Posted June 28, 2012 Author Posted June 28, 2012 Ahh, I figure the only way for it to work is to keep it on the side or do some creative moving around to get it right. Quote
EricJ Posted June 28, 2012 Author Posted June 28, 2012 But this may work for VF-1, just have to work on the tail a bit: Quote
EricJ Posted June 28, 2012 Author Posted June 28, 2012 And some other Convair work... First three VF-1 and one by request from Stary Quote
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted June 28, 2012 Posted June 28, 2012 beautifull work! Plane and skin! This version needs definatly a radar upgrade (a bit bigger / longer nose) its just an imagination, but it was the first thing i thought when i flew it! great Stuff! Quote
EricJ Posted June 28, 2012 Author Posted June 28, 2012 True but as a light bomber it's fairly decent to fly. Tried it out a couple times and felt it was okay Quote
EricJ Posted July 1, 2012 Author Posted July 1, 2012 After finding some online references VFA-32 is going old-skool with their tail art (line bird and CO as well so far). Quote
EricJ Posted July 5, 2012 Author Posted July 5, 2012 (edited) Current updates to the Super Hornet: From FC himself: Notes: There is no more delination for decaled LODs...modify the aircraft ini accordingly. The first 3 levels of LODs have the same amount of polys and use bump maps. The first 2 levels of LODs use spec maps. The top level LOD is the decal LOD. All LODs use JPGs instead of bmps. More detailed damage nodes. Overall, it means there are more polys farther away..you may want to optimize distances a bit in the ini. - Canopyglass items now have a spec map. New template included for CanopyGlass.tga. - Canopy is now double sided. - Textures are now JPG instead of BMP What the last two mean is that now the HUD, canopy (for both versions) is included in a template format, allowing users to customize the HUD color (such as the bottom image, green), and other assorted stuff. And all textures are now JPG instead of BMP. For the plethora of skins I'll have to convert them eventually except the ones on my Hard drive. The process didn't take long but anyway... What I'm thinking of doing is uploading the models now (cockpit is still WIP, sorry) as a small incremental update, then eventually another "Full" package. Any thoughts on this? And the new pylons didn't require any changes to the templates either. Edited July 5, 2012 by EricJ Quote
