I have Yefim Gordon's book on the Yak -38 and I'm very psyched about this plane. I have fun trying to balance the Harriers, but this seems like a such a challenge!

That book sounds interesting, it is about the Yakovlev's VTOL planes: Yak-36, Yak-38 and Yak-41.

I hope I can be of some help. Here is a cockpit shot of the Yak-38 (left), and Yak-36M (right). A panel layout for -38 is on the bottom.

It looks a lot like MiG-21 cockpit to me.

I think it would be nice to have the famous Yak-38 Forger in SFP1 or WOE. This an interesting carrier based plane from the years of the Cold War. It is very famous and the only time I saw it in a flight sim was years ago in an old sim called "Birds of Prey" from 1991. I never saw this plane again in a sim.

This plane was used by the Soviet Navy onboard the carriers Kiev and Minsk.

Anybody knows if this plane is going to be released for WOE? or in the case that it already exists...where to find it?

Here is a link to see this bird in action:

PD: I heard that soon a Su-24 Fencer will be released, anybody knows anything about it? :dntknw:

I played "Fleet Defender" 1994 a lot on my pc at the time and i remember i used to shoot down a lot of Forgers.

I'm experimenting with rendering trying to enhance my skills. Some renders will be used as a hangar/loading screens, maybe in future projects. So, don't be surprised if you'll see something strange:)

The good thing is that I was forced to buy additional 4GB of RAM to deal with such scenes.

Full scene:

Wow!! Krizis, every pics you post here in this topic are speechless. What a graphics!!

Good work!! :ok:

Yeah, I also remember that sim "Fleet Deffender" from 1994, I forgot to write it here, the "Forger" was also there...so

I think that the Yak-38 appeared only in that two sims for the moment (Birds of Prey and Fleet Deffender).

And soon...in Wings over Europe!! haha.

Krizis, are you making it for use in WOE or WOI ??

I think it is better for WOE because the Yak-38 is a Cold War warrior, not a fighter from the Middle East, haha.

But well, it is only a suggestion.

Good work anyway!!
