MetalMania Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Hi Im new on this sim and it`s great.. damn nice muscle cars!!! Are there any mods or addons for this game?! Does someone else drive it? I don't have this one but have put in many hours with GTR2, which is by the same developer. Not that this will help since you've already got GT Legends but I've seen a double pack of GTR2 and GTL for $19.99. Check out www.nogripracing.com for mods and addons. Quote
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted February 20, 2009 Author Posted February 20, 2009 I bought GTL for 9,95 over in germany will look for the GTR 2 .. damn good sounds in this game!1 And the feeling.... Quote
+Sundowner Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 I used to play it a lot [i grew up with lots of these cars] the main site I used to go to is now closed, but yes there are quite a few mods out there, try this site first... http://www.bhmotorsports.com/board/viewforum.php?f=103 Quote
mikeymead Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Yeah I've played it a lot too, I live very much, it's nice to race some of the older stuff, I always like going to the historic race meetings in life, I prefer it to modern stuff. Try these links for mods, extra tracks and cars. http://www.nogripracing.com/ Various mods, tracks and cars http://www.kcendra.com/nfsbolide/nfscars.php?game=gtl Some very nice cars http://gtr4u.de/ German language site http://tantra.rscsites.org/tr.html a few nice tracks http://www.archeoskins.com/ skins etc. http://www.motorfxuk.com/tracks.html tracks That should keep you going! +JediMaster Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Once you have GTR2 you can get the Power and Glory mod which mixes GTL and GTR2. The difference is that instead of driving "classic" cars on modern tracks (what GTL is) you're actually racing DURING that time, like the old Grand Prix Legends. Quote
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted March 11, 2009 Author Posted March 11, 2009 sounds great.. will look for GTR2 Quote
Badfrank Posted March 13, 2009 Posted March 13, 2009 GTR 2 is a very nice Game, it´s a must have if you love Racing games! Quote
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted March 17, 2009 Author Posted March 17, 2009 Have to look for this game.. but with a joystick it`s not so easy I need a wheel and some pedals Quote
+JediMaster Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 LOL, no, a stick is NOT recommended. I last raced with a stick in the early 90s, when I "drove" World Circuit: Grand Prix from MPS with my CH stick. Then TM came out with the T1...the first steering wheel for the PC. I got it and never looked back! After that one broke years later, I got an MS Sidewinder wheel, then an MS FF Sidewinder wheel. I was in heaven...until the day came when gameports were useless and no gameport/USB adapter would let the FF effects work. So I tried the Act Labs wheel for a couple of months but I couldn't get into it. Then like 5 years ago I got my MOMO and I've never left! Quote
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted March 18, 2009 Author Posted March 18, 2009 Steering wheel would be great, but one for a good price and precise, it can be used but I need a solid good steering wheel with some nice pedals, 3 are recomended. Any ideas about a good wheel? Quote
+Fates Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 G25 Logitech is an Awesome wheel and pedal combo. It would be my only recommendation for gaming unless your looking at some custom wheels pedal setups...they can run $1000 +. The G25 is a fair price and you can probably find some used ones pretty cheap. Quote
+JediMaster Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 I've heard some people sold theirs used for $100 or so, but the cheapest I've seen them new is $225 and I don't race enough to justify that. My $70 Momo was far more reasonably priced. Quote
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted March 19, 2009 Author Posted March 19, 2009 I`m more a pilot than a racer, ;-) ... have to look for a nice wheel. Quote
Gremlin_WoH Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 Here is a fairly good article about Grand Prix Legends today and its recommended mods: New Developments In Grand Prix Legends Cheers Quote
+JediMaster Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 While that's good, technically this was about GT Legends, not Grand Prix. Quote
Gremlin_WoH Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 While that's good, technically this was about GT Legends, not Grand Prix. Sorry but if you have a closer look and read you will see it is about Grand Prix Legends. Do not let the first couple of pictures fool you. Cheers Quote
+Fubar512 Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Here is a fairly good article about Grand Prix Legends today and its recommended mods: New Developments In Grand Prix Legends Cheers Wow, a CAN-AM mod. Guess I'll have to dust off my copy of GPL. Wasn't there a TRANS-AM mod for either GTL or GPL, covering the '69-'73 seasons? Quote
Gremlin_WoH Posted August 23, 2009 Posted August 23, 2009 Sorry but if you have a closer look and read you will see it is about Grand Prix Legends. Do not let the first couple of pictures fool you. Cheers I apologize for the confusion. I thought this thread was about Grand Prix Legends, the crown of all race sims Cheers Quote
