Sorry I can't help specifically with Corel Paint Shop Pro X (I use The Gimp) but when I was struggling to grasp it I went to The Simmers Paint Shop and asked a question there. Indeed, it might be worth a look just in case there is a tutorial already there.

Later PSP versions have a problem with converting TGA files so they are useable in the game. They tend to come out as negatives and a ghastly yellow. If you have the problem with PSP10 I have little utility that will fix it. Otherwise look for previous postings - I'm sure that I put a link to the utility download somewhere on here.

Try out the gimp. I find creating decals much easier in this program. You just have to paint what you want to show up and save it as a TGA (32bit, turn RLE compression off)

Hope you find this helpfull

i think the name of the first number (no matter which number it represents) has to be "FuseNum000.tga"!

The FuseNum078.tga would be the 79th number!!!

Have you tried calling out one specific number in the decals.ini just to see if they show??

Try to make a new one square like 256x256

The hight and width of the decal have to be the same: 64x64, 128x128 or 256x256

You could split it in three (or two, framing the insignia)...

Squadron decals are level1 in the decals.ini

You have to make a numberslist. Copy a numbers.lst from whatever aircraft. Open with wordpad and clear every entries. Now you name every number you created in your tga's accordingly to the number sequence. like 1 = TGA.num000 and 2=num001 and so forth
