Well despite the fact I'm still in Afghanistan, Lady Luck came to me and gave me a good ol' darn internet drop, so that means I can spend a little more time on the project than trying to squeeze in the MWR line. Gotta pay for it... but it's worth it.

 

Got bored today and started a "MIG-23" scheme:

Well if it's complete by your standards I will, but right now it'll come with two schemes, the famous "MIG-28" and the splinter I did for Vampyre. The green/grey splinter needs tweaking. But don't fear! I got the temps sorted out so I can add that too.

Well, the only decals I know that it still needs are the decals for Pappychksix's Tawian skin...

 

Otherwise, it's just loading/loadout/hanger screenies...

Here's some screens of the drag chute, and textured. The chute is linked to the spoilers, and at higher speeds it won't deploy.

 

ummm...... you DO know there is an actual "DRAG_CHUTE" input command, right?

The drag chute command has NEVER worked. Unless something has changed with the Oct 08 patch.

 

Try it yourself and report back in a military manner.

Got more work completed on the MIG-23 scheme. Apparently the overall fill color was wrong, so it's fixed now:

cool skin.. small thing : the model has the RWR antennas aft of the elevators (and possible behind the radome too - hard to see) Only few users had their 5F configured with them, and usually late in service .

If you intend to make a "typical" 1980's 5F, its probably a better fit without the antennas

You are correct. I had mentioned this in a PM to Eric.

 

This model is based on the Taiwanese late model F-5Fs, with the additional sensors fore and aft, the 'shark' nose, wing fences and extended LERX. Because there were so many variants of the F-5F (including extended vertical tails, refueling probes, etc) I decided to stick with one version.

 

I will release the F-5F MAX file to the MF to do as they see fit if they want to make eariler models, or models with different variants of equipment.
