+Erik Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 If I'm not mistaken that was the #2 engine failure during T/O at Dover AFB. Quote
SayethWhaaaa Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Jaysus... One of them new C-5s with the hinged cargo door...? Quote
+streakeagle Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 C-5s are amazing aircraft to see flying low in take-off/landing configurations. Seeing something so large flying so slow. I miss the original MAC colors (white over gray with a blue stripe between the two). I know the C-5s have been overhauled quite a bit, but they have also done quite a few years/miles of flying. I wonder how long they can keep going? Obviously, this one's time ran out. Can anyone say "spare parts"? Quote

Some how the spare parts always seem to show up. Quote

That's because there are pilots that like to land there planes without lowering the landing gears. Dover!... cough, cough Quote
+76.IAP-Blackbird Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 maybe it`s the same like the Buff, still in service...for the next 20 Years Quote
MAKO69 Posted May 28, 2009 Author Posted May 28, 2009 (edited) Where's the Creamy Filling? It would be in the crash truck w/3% afff. If you look close you can see the plane is wet, it was probably already sprayed and the crash rig is just on standby until USAF and DOD investigaters get there. Edited May 28, 2009 by MAKO69 Quote
