SF2E A new patch is up at Third Wire

These are coming thick and fast!

 

List of changes in this Update include:

 

Jun 2009b

---------

 

* The game occasionally crashing to desktop when running on Windows XP

has been fixed.

 

* A-10A fuel gauge not working properly is fixed

 

* Weapons on multiple weapons rack not mounting at correct angle is fixed.

 

* Harrier's altimeter counter not working properly is fixed.

 

* Hunter's alitmeter missing the 1000ft needle is fixed.

 

* Hunter's 1000 RPM needle not moving is fixed.

 

* Hunter's cockpit missing the light texture .tga is fixed.

 

* A-10A's pitch control authority has been increased.

 

* F-100's squadron marking decals not showing correctly is fixed.

 

* Additonal nation specific skins and decals are included.

Two new weapons in editor. One comes from splitting SA-8 into early and late models. What's the other one?

I'm not sure but since SF2 (Dec 2008) we've gained*;

 

Tank275_F100

ALQ-101

ALQ-119

SA-2E

SA-8

SA-8B

 

So it will be one of them.

 

 

*Plus the Soviet Rockets Pods UB-16 and UB-32 were correctly named (on an earlier patch).

I haven't had a crash when quitting a mission, since the patch. Seems like its been solved.

Anybody tried if HUD's are working with new patch?

 

EDIT: I mean when using "UseAdvancedShaders=1" option...

I'm pretty sure TK will fully incorporate them at some point. Not that I'd love to have them now, but the whole nextgen series concept IS about Vista/Se7en after all :rolleyes:

Tons of other minor fixes... A-10 gunsight in A-A mode is adequate, F-4s don't carry 'winders with 3-packs of Mavs by default

The missile Counter measure resistance has been changed back to normal too

 

 

Notice the SA-8B might not be using the SA-8B missiles though

I think TK made two sorts of missiles for now, but the 3D model for the earlier vehicle will come in one of the following updates. I dug up some pics and it seems rail setup is quite simple, most of the model can be reused.

Tail mounted anti-collision beacon is set to correctly pulse/flash now on the Phantoms.

All Harriers can carry now UK1000LB bomb on the centerline :good:
