begun with wings on amiga, wich was amazing in that time in all aspects,

i wish i could find somewhere in the web only the diary. i would love to read it again. :cray: .

Creaghorn,

check out the wings intro here:

http://www.lemonamiga.com/?mainurl=http%3A...php%3Fid%3D1133

I did a quick search on google using "amiga wings story" and some of the links promised ability to play the game. Tho when you see that intro, it'll make you all warm and fuzzy....for just a minute, then you'll want to climb back into the arena of OFF.

hey, might be an idea to post screenies of the diary if you play it. but i'm sure you'll shut it off again soon because BHAH time would suffer

Thanks Broadside...nostalgic as hell...its been many years since i DID play Wings.....but as soon as that intro started I was straight back there again! The part that always stuck with ME for some reason was that French accordion music played in the mess hall as the diary indicated losing people....that, and the graveyard procession at the end...which I saw FAR too many times!

Thanks.

Actually I played Wings a couple months ago in my PC. I've Amiga Forever Emulator. It doesn't stand to our days standard, but what people enjoyed on that sim was the real sense of historic immersion. Today Wings is considered by Amiga enthusiasts on of the top ten best games in Amiga. Personally it's one of the ten best games I ever played.
