Broadside uda Barn 0 Posted July 22, 2009 begun with wings on amiga, wich was amazing in that time in all aspects, i wish i could find somewhere in the web only the diary. i would love to read it again. :cray: . Creaghorn, check out the wings intro here: http://www.lemonamiga.com/?mainurl=http%3A...php%3Fid%3D1133 I did a quick search on google using "amiga wings story" and some of the links promised ability to play the game. Tho when you see that intro, it'll make you all warm and fuzzy....for just a minute, then you'll want to climb back into the arena of OFF.

jimgad 0 Posted July 22, 2009 Thanks Broadside...nostalgic as hell...its been many years since i DID play Wings.....but as soon as that intro started I was straight back there again! The part that always stuck with ME for some reason was that French accordion music played in the mess hall as the diary indicated losing people....that, and the graveyard procession at the end...which I saw FAR too many times! Von Paulus 8 Posted July 22, 2009 Welcome to you Von Paulus! This talk of Wings for Amiga tempts me to dig out my old Amiga w/expansion and My copy of Wings. Actually I have Wings for the Gameboy Advance too, damn screen is too small tho. Thanks. Actually I played Wings a couple months ago in my PC. I've Amiga Forever Emulator. It doesn't stand to our days standard, but what people enjoyed on that sim was the real sense of historic immersion. Today Wings is considered by Amiga enthusiasts on of the top ten best games in Amiga. Personally it's one of the ten best games I ever played.
