Biggus Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Thanks, Eric. I noticed the new skins. I'll have another play tonight. Can't believe that three or so days ago I couldn't fly an F-4 without bumping into three dozen J-6s, and lately I haven't spotted a single one. Quote
stingray77 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 (edited) Yeah - great work (again)!!! I just spotted, the OV-10A doesn't have shadows - only its loads... (I do not recall, if there were some before the fix... Just checked with the BackUp before the fix - no .SHD-files in there, either...) Something to be done about that, maybe? stingray77 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Oh, and DEFINITELY without wanting to nag, just to point out "things": there is no Hangar pic or loadout-"preview" coming with the Bronco either...... Quote
stingray77 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 And one last thing (but this was the same before the FixPack): unlike the A-6(at least A - don't recall about the B) the EA-6's don't have a pilot sitting next to you if you pan around in the cockpit (F1 and F2)... Seen from externally all the 4 personnel are in the aircraft... Quote
stingray77 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Just to keep things straight: This Expansion Pack with its FixPack is plain AWESOME! Best and most complete addition to the SF2V by far..... (The only thing I run extra is Sundowner's F-4 skins...) An outstanding work! Quote
Biggus Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 EF-4C issue - in front of the cockpit there is a funny dot in midair. Quote
+eburger68 Posted August 31, 2009 Author Posted August 31, 2009 Stingray77: We'll look into those issues. Biggus: That funny little dot is supposed to be an antenna, I believe -- part of the ER-142/ALR-53 ECM Set that the EF-4C carries. You'll see another one or two of 'em just off the tail as well. Charlie 14 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Just wanted to take a moment and say thanks to eburger and Malibu for this add-on, it ranks right up there with ODS and Nato Fighters 1-4 for the modding-impaired like myself...This is just a fantastic compilation of so many people's good work, it really makes SF2V an order of magnitude better than the stock install...Thank you all very much. stingray77 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 (edited) I just had sth. VERY strange hapening: flying the "Easter Offensive"-Campaign, Navy (A-7 of VA-22) - on date Juky 31 I am starting from the sea (well, did not get to starting actually) or instantly crashing into the carrier that was floating through the jungle....... What's THAT??? Edited August 31, 2009 by stingray77 Quote
stingray77 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 ...aborted mission and advanced one day - same! How can I get over this? Quote
+Dave Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 Dave: Thanks for the suggestions. We'll take a look at the serials for aircraft. Any particular ones that you noticed were lacking them? Eric Howes All the USAF A-1's and the Navy A-1's only have nose numbers. Quote
+eburger68 Posted August 31, 2009 Author Posted August 31, 2009 (edited) Stingray77: ...aborted mission and advanced one day - same! How can I get over this? I've never seen that problem before. Inspecting the Easter Offensive campaign files, I did spot a few errors related to the B-57G, which was misnamed. Attached are corrected campaign files for Easter Offensive. Just drop them into \Campaigns\EasterOffensive. Unfortunately, you'll need to start the campaign over, as these new files will corrupt your in-progress campaign (if it isn't already corrupted somehow). Eric L. malibu43 Posted August 31, 2009 Posted August 31, 2009 ...aborted mission and advanced one day - same! How can I get over this? There is an error in the EasterOffensive_data.ini file: Find this entry and delete the line in bold below: [CarrierUnit004] CarrierType=CVA-63 CarrierNumber=43 UnitName=CVA-43 Coral Sea ForceID=1 Nation=USN RetireDate=7/1972 BaseArea=Yankee Station NumSquadron=5 BaseSize=MEDIUM Experience=100 Morale=100 Supply=100 eburger68, can you include this change in the next updated campaign files? Quote
+eburger68 Posted September 1, 2009 Author Posted September 1, 2009 (edited) Malibu43: Will do. Attached is an updated set of campaign files for Easter Offensive -- as with the previous version, simply drop them in your \Campaigns\EasterOffensive directory. Eric L. You can define shadows (and their distances) for everything you have , aircraft, weapons, etc... Quote

+eburger68 Posted September 1, 2009 Author Posted September 1, 2009 topcat II: Hi eburger68 Thank You and all for this I have mergerd installs of SF2, E, V, what I have never done is a single install were do I start on this so I don't screw it up. Thanks for the help. If you've already performed a merged install of all your SF2 games (meaning, that they all share a single Mod Folder), then I don't think you're going to be able to do a separate install of one of the games -- at least not on the same computer. If I've misunderstood your question, let me know. Eric L. Howes Quote
topcat II Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Hi Eric if I want to keep the install seperate so I do not put your install with a mergerd how do I do that? Thanks in advance! Quote
malibu43 Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 topcat II, Check out this post in the knowledge base: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php/topic/40588-sf2sf2v-knowledge-base/page__view__findpost__p__289170 That should answer your question. In my experience, you should be able to do as many installs as you want. It's just a matter of installing to new directories with custom names and possibly removing titles from the "add/remove programs" list. Also look at this: http://forum.combatace.com/index.php/topic/40588-sf2sf2v-knowledge-base/page__view__findpost__p__306141 I've used this method for testing v2.0 of this mod while I still had v1.0 installed. All it involves is copying and renaming the .exe. Good luck. Quote
topcat II Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Hi Eric thank you I will give it a shot and will let you know. cheers Quote

If I've misunderstood your question, let me know. Eric L. Howes Yes you can...and you do not even need to reinstall SF2V to do so. It's simply a matter of copying the SF2V.exe and SF2v.ini files , renaming them (the copies, of course), and then executing the renamed .exe file. That will create a mod folder, named exactly as the .exe file. 1 Quote
+PureBlue Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 Now that's good to know Fubar. So the binary exe looks for an ini file that's named exactly the same.. Quote
