A Kfir, the one with the smaller canards, known as the F-21 in the US, in addition to the Kfir C2 in WOI.

Actually it sholud be a C.1. They were used by Israel in Lebanon. F-21A was put up for the US in mid 80's as aggressor plane for training, so is a bit too late for deafult time frame. Just like C.7...

 

C.1 looks just like the plane in that shot.

 

BTW, look at those. Same type - different canards.

To make it even more complicated, the original Kfir didn't have any canards. By the way the book by Ra'anan Weiss & Shlomo Aloni on the Kfir calls them Kfir, not Kfir C1.

Those are strakes, not the same as canards. Canards implies a flying surface, whether or not it's movable or (like the Viggen) has movable surfaces on it. A strake is a glorified wing fence stuck somewhere else and is far more common. The F-16, Su-27, and many others have strakes.

In this case, the strakes are just placed where the canards were.

I'm pretty sure that's what takes TW so much time; which may also suggest some new little enhancements, as usual

 

Also I noticed the bloom on the images seem to be effect-related (new shaders), not simple full screen as in ENBseries most used to by now, which would be welcome feature too

 

edit: I may be wrong, looks like it's whole screen bloom effect

I'm more impressed by new clouds. There's another shot with the setting sun lighting the cloud from behind and the cloud is not coloured whole but only at the edges.

 

White patches of the first gen are the thing of the past.
