+paulopanz Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 (edited) Hi there, flyng in SF-2I - at last - something was wrong: no Ouragans. So I tried the old Pasko's & Colum5's little bird. Many things to fix but soon the Ouragan was in 6 days war's battles. Sometimes ago I made some basic silver skin for Woi use ... but the Ouragans were not silver in 1967... So I left my Hunters for a while and (with a lot of trouble, because the model has many problems!!!) I made some (7) new, high res (1024x1024) IAF skins from my temps and original ones. Here some pics. 1967 1973 1956 I think to upload a new revamped plane with all the previous skins, too. Waiting a new model I think it will be a good place holder. So I wait Guyran for some help (references) from Israel to finish the job and use (I hope) this little bird in His fantastic, historical missions, too. Yours Paulopanz Edited October 22, 2009 by paulopanz Quote
Spinners Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 Great work! By chance I was reading about this aircraft tonight and noted that Israel bought it as a stop-gap whilst waiting for their Mystere IV's (having rejected the Mystere II). Did this aircraft have a name in Israeli service? Quote
Wrench Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 If I'd have known you were doing this, I'd have given you my 1024 templates, that I created for the El Salvadoran version. btw, did you catch the mapping issue on the lower right aileron??? Good looking skins! Still requires a little tweeking (FM wise) for 08+ levels, but flys just fine!! wrench kevin stein Quote

I found your temps too late but your aileron fix is already in use from the beginning! I'll include in the mod your El Salvador skin togheter with Sandesh's IAF skin and old French ones (to upgrade). SF-2 cockipt open, userlist and new SF-2I time-sorted skins (IDF 1956-1957-1967-1969) already done and working. Sound added (Spillone104), pilot model serching... (any idea?). Any help with FM or bouncing on the taxiways (already reduced) will be welcome! Paul Great plane Edited October 22, 2009 by paulopanz Quote
Wrench Posted October 22, 2009 Posted October 22, 2009 (edited) I haven't had time to play with it too much, but I'd look at the spring & damping factors in the nose gear. Maybe up the damping factor to 0.05??? Have you had any issues with Ordway's cockpit in SF2/SF2:I??? (haven't gotten SF2I yet -out of money!) I'd forgotten I'd put the templates in FAS version!! Pilot-wise, maybe my IDF50s version?? Should be at my site (maybe!) wrench kevin stein Edited October 22, 2009 by Wrench Quote

Ordway's pit needs that old fix as in Shusjake's SF-2 Mig-15: [RangeCounter] Type=RANGE_INDICATOR CounterNodeFormat=distance_dig%Remd <--------- change this to: distance_dig%d MovementType=ANALOG_COUNTER ValueUnit=NM You are wrong: You put the temps in Your pack in extras folder. +baffmeister Posted October 23, 2009 Posted October 23, 2009 Any help with FM or bouncing on the taxiways (already reduced) will be welcome! Paul Great plane Regarding the "Bouncy Plane" syndrome. I have found a few tricks to tame these aircraft and the current landing gear edits I am using on my WOI install are attached below. The difference in rolling radius on the main landing gear wheels is on purpose and probably required. Haven't flown this plane for awhile put last time I tried it I think it was OK with this mod. I run my Quicker Takeoff mod in my WOI install and it tends to have worse problems than the stock airfields regarding bouncing planes.
