Jug Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 My Norton anti-virus goes nuts and declares a trojan virus is being downloaded whenever I attempt to download the new BTR-80 files. Suggest this be checked prior to leaving up for all to get.
+FLOGGER23 Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 I´ve downloaded it and scanned with NOD 32 no issues reported so far, anyone else?
+Dave Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 BTR-80 or BTR-60 Jug? Because I downloaded the BTR-60 and it was clear.
+EricJ Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 He means the BTR-80 and first I heard of any of my files with a virus... but if it could be checked out?
+Dave Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 I just checked every file that was a BTR anything and they are all fine. I think Jug got a false positive. I am running Norton 2010 too.
dsawan Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Hi, I just got it via surfing of a trojan virus and my norton antivrus picked it up. My adaware from lavasoft deleted it. Be careful surfin.
+Dave Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Give me a link to the file you are using to make sure I have the right one.
+SUICIDAL Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 before I upload my files always inspects searching for viruses. also download the BTR-80 of Eric and the scan was negative.
Jug Posted December 3, 2009 Author Posted December 3, 2009 before I upload my files always inspects searching for viruses. also download the BTR-80 of Eric and the scan was negative. Don't mind being called out on a false positive. Sorry. Thought it best to check it out though.
+Typhoid Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Don't mind being called out on a false positive. Sorry. Thought it best to check it out though. better safe than sorry and a good reminder to "practice safe computing"
+Dave Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 You made a good call Jug, better to be safe than sorry as Andy said.
+EricJ Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Roger that, don't want to be known as a virus distributor
