One of those planes sabotaged by outside construction and quality control factors. The design itself is a pretty clean one with a lot of potential. Favoritism towards the Spad XIII hurt it too.

 

It's also a shame the N.29 never saw active service-- it supposedly combined very high speed with good agility and superb durability.
