Luiz Carlos Posted December 25, 2009 Posted December 25, 2009 Just after I did the download , I realized that my copy of SF2E, recently dowloaded already was December patched, and the read me of NF4+ stated that it only worked in June patch. A little frustrated I decided to go ahead and install it, just to see what happened and for my surprise everything is working perfectly, without any editing at all. I´m playing for four days with almost all planes for testing purposes and in three different campaigns and everything is fine.(under Windows 7 64-bit) The only glith until now is a missing after burner effect in the Sabre model K. just for sharing with you guys, and thanks for the people who developed this great, great mod. jomni Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 (edited) Glad you're enjoying the mod. Seems encouraging. Please tell us if you find anything else strange. I haven't tried NF4+ with the newest versions of the game. Edited December 26, 2009 by jomni Quote
Emp_Palpatine Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 Sounds good indeed! Any idea of the fix needed for Sabre K? Quote
Luiz Carlos Posted December 26, 2009 Author Posted December 26, 2009 (edited) Sounds good indeed! Any idea of the fix needed for Sabre K? I have found that all afterburners are missing and the missiles/rockets burners are missing too. I will try to force DX9 in options.ini to try to solve this. Emp_Palpatine Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 All these effects are missing? Do not hesitate to tell us about the results of your tests! Quote
jomni Posted December 26, 2009 Posted December 26, 2009 (edited) there's a separate thread about the afterburners. http://forum.combata...r-2009-updates/ Also see if this works. http://forum.combatace.com/topic/51187-sf2-combo-effect-pack-v1-00/page__p__370442__hl__afterburners__fromsearch__1entry370442 Edited December 26, 2009 by jomni Quote

My experience is that whilst the planes I've tried do 'work' I am having problems with the HUD displays on the modded aircraft. F15C doesn't display the altitude ladder, no cockpit seats and a 50% drop in frame rate for example I'm confident that there are a bunch of extremely talented people who who have the skills and knowledge to resolve these issues, given time, but until then I will continue to use NATO fighters on the SFP1 WOE. I using a merged install with Dec 09 patch. Cheers Paul Quote
