+Spectre_USA Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Want a heads up on the next CAG jet for VFA-25? Here `tis, still in the paint barn; A Navy Chief I know and a couple of buds from the Pilot's Pub got together to design it. I have some "during" shots, if you'd like `em. To be officially unveiled on Tuesday, 4 May 10, where another Pubber will have a 1/48th scale model of it unveiled as well... Quote
+SidDogg Posted April 30, 2010 Author Posted April 30, 2010 Why, thank you very much, ST0RM. Looks like the 12C over there's outdoin' themselves... I WILL look into this. SidDogg Quote
+Spectre_USA Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 >Looks both ways< Err, ST0RM? Whozat? Sorry, I'm not a squid, just a former Zoomie with questionable taste in friends. What's a 12 Charlie? It would be kind of a hoot to see it in game, would blow the Cheif's socks off! Quote
+SidDogg Posted April 30, 2010 Author Posted April 30, 2010 ...As you may know, I kinda live this. ...so for ya'll Air Force and Army folk out there, I'll make it basic for you. ...And that's it. ================================================================================== In Naval Aviation Maintenance, our occupations are divided into Workcenters(W/C). ...These, of course, designated by their own numeric/letter combination: W/C 110 - Powerplants. Engines, Propulsion apparatus, and all things thereof. W/C 120 - Airframes. The AIRFRAME (duh!), landing gear, hydraulics, flight controls, and all things of the like(etc.). W/C 12C - Corrsion! Keeping it dead is their job. A.K.A. Paint and Body. W/C 13A - Paraloft. All flight suits, helmets, survival gear, etc. W/C 13B - LOX. Liquid Oxygen. Need I say more? W/C 210 - Avionics. Radars, computers, you get the deal. W/C 220 - Electricians. Lighting, circuits, relays...wires, wires, and more wires. Nuff said. W/C 230 - IYAOYAS. Yeah, I said it. ============================================================================================== And THAT, ladies and gents, is all you will ever need to know about that. SidDogg Quote
Vampyre Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 You forgot W/C's 020, 040, 050, 310 and 320. I saw that fisty jet this past monday. It looks pretty sharp. VFA-137 has a digital camo bird that they just got finished with recently that would also make an interesting skin. I'll see if I can get a pic or two of it. Quote

EricJ Posted May 9, 2010 Posted May 9, 2010 Nice work on the Growler. I was going to do a Shadowhawks What If, but never obviously finished it. Good to see some variety now that the squadrons are getting fleshed out now. Impressive! Quote
+SidDogg Posted May 13, 2010 Author Posted May 13, 2010 ...Big letters have lost their appeal to me... ...So I had to minisize. Quote
