TSgtT Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 I would like to purchase one of the SF2 series but I'm having a difficult time deciding which one to buy as my initial purchase. I'm looking for which version will give me the best capability of terain and mod expansion. I have all of the 1st series but don't quite know which one to get from the second series. I apologize in advance if this has been asked before, I've read through the forums but still don't have a clue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I plan on buying them all at some point in time but need a little help on getting started. Thanks, T
xclusiv8 Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 To start with i would suggest SF2 because of the fun mercenary campaign. But once you pop you cant stop it is said so eventually you will proberbly buy all of them just like i did and merge them into a big as game!
Slartibartfast Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 Same issue I had which one to buy for the mods etc I started with SF2 Europe but I ended up buying them all anyway... made sense to me...
+Gr.Viper Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 Mercenary campaign is fun but don't forget that SF2 will need a big bunch of mods to fill the hangar/shop.
+daddyairplanes Posted August 15, 2010 Posted August 15, 2010 SF2E was my first for Gen2, then SF2V for the carriers and Navy Phantoms. gonna get Isreal soon so i can use the expansion packs then hopefully i'll be fully merged all games by early next year. Hey you try buying all the games on a sergeants pay feeding 5 mouths in the home!
+JediMaster Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 I'd say go where your interest is highest. For example, if you like the Middle East area get SF2:I, plus the first SF2 expansion requires it. If you like the cold war scenarios, SF2:E is great plus the next 2 expansions are going off of that. I also echo the "get them all" sentiment, but I realize not everyone can afford it.
