RAVEN Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 Are ground speeds in Meters per seconds? If they are I have Tanks doing 137mph!! Raven
Crusader Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 m/s, yep. whole game was changed to use metrical system for all values, sometime in 2006/07 or so. all ground objects made before the change still use knots for the speed value, thats why you have very speedy tanks
Fubar512 Posted November 5, 2010 Posted November 5, 2010 (edited) Are ground speeds in Meters per seconds? If they are I have Tanks doing 137mph!! Raven Yes. 1 m/ps = about 2 knots, 1 knot = 1.15 mph Edited November 6, 2010 by Fubar512 corrected m/s to kts conversion factor
Gepard Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 For fast calculation use following simple formula 4 * Meters/second - 10% = kph example 10 meters/sec * 4 = 40 - 4 = 36 kph
Wrench Posted November 6, 2010 Posted November 6, 2010 or, extract the data ini for a similiar size/weight AFV and copy/paste the engine & movement sections. that's what we did way back when, after the 06 patch "fixed" vehicle/ship speeds wrench kevin stein
