carrick58 Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Stuttgart was the capital of the Kingdom of Württemberg from 1806 to 1918 (from 1871 part of the German Reich). Below is their historical flag and coat of arms. Cool thanks Quote

If you want a crest specific to the CIty of Stuttgart it would be a variation on something like these: There are reported numerous types but all feature a black horse, (or horses), on a yellow-gold shield, sometimes adorned with a drape, helmet, etc. And if it looks familiar it's because Porsche incorporated the Stutgartt city crest into their logo when they began building their world famous cars. Hope this is helpful Carrick. . mmmmmmmmmmmmmm Stuttgart, October fest , Farm girls, and being 21 yrs of age thanks Quote
tranquillo Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 Hi hobby skinners. Question........I fly an SE5a mostly and currently use the Captain Duncan Grinnell-Milne skin. I don't know anything about skinning so I don't know if it's possible to remove the "W" from the top wing and fuselage to replace it with something else. Is this within your realms or is it too much of a job? Quote
Olham Posted November 16, 2010 Author Posted November 16, 2010 Ahem - Carrick, the "Oktoberfest" is in Munich, the farm girls are in the countryside - well, and 21 yrs of age... tranquillo, it is no problem. If you want an emblem, just post it as a Jpeg; if you want stripes or a Capital letter, just tell us, what you think you want. If none of the British specialists shouts "here, me!" until tomorrow, I'll do the job. Quote
carrick58 Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 (edited) I was young once. I do remember a lot of Beer drinking and Batwurst around the park not far from the Stuttgart Train Station in Oct of 71. Edited November 16, 2010 by carrick58 Quote

RAF_Louvert Posted November 16, 2010 Posted November 16, 2010 (edited) . Tranquillo, I can do your kite for you as well, but I wouldn't be able to get to it until the weekend. If Herr Olham can handle it for you sooner than I say take him up on his kind offer, elsewise it's my pleasure to take care of it for you on Saturday. And Oktoberfest in Germany, oh how I remember those days, though the memories are a bit fuzzy round the edges. Cheers! Lou . Edited November 16, 2010 by RAF_Louvert Quote

I have a complete Folder on my desktop, crammed full of Logo's insignia's and written ideas for Skins etc....not that I'm obsessed or anything! Hopefully, the Germans will be pretty sick too!! Hasse Wind Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 How appropriate, Dej! Isn't that the Order of the Golden Fleece? (The old nobility and royalty of Europe was obsessed with creating all sorts of weird orders...) Quote
Rickitycrate Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Is anyone doing French aircraft that might be willing to do a skin for me that would feature my last dog? His name was Jack and he was a French Bulldog. I had attempted a skin myself with feable results. A Nieuport 11 (bebe) would be nice. Thanks for your consideration. Quote
