The tail gun doesn't work.

open file tu-22m3_data.ini

look for

[TailGun]

SystemType=FLEXIBLE_GUN

GunTypeName=23MM_GSH23L

replace by

[TailGun]

SystemType=FLEXIBLE_GUN

GunTypeName=23MM_GSH23

should work now

Thanks but I've tried to sort it out this way yesterday.... but even with the proper gun in the .ini I have been shot to pieces with cannon fire by enemy fighters without the turret to fire a single burst. :blink:

SystemName[002]=Rudder

SystemName[003]=TailLight

replace with

SystemName[001]=TailGun

I tried the B-1 panel from the XB-70 but it doesn`t work, the Tu-22 cockpit is to tiny for the panel. So we need a russian pit :-P

Hey Blackbird I'm using the whole pit from the newest Vark Package for SF2, as well as the F-111F avionics and cockpit.ini from that package, and it looks and works pretty good in SF2.

Hello!

I've found! Last time I used the 'original' cockpit... this created the game freeze... :heat:

Thank you NeverEnough!!! I go to choose your alternative :salute:

Inspired by the very very very old game "Harpoon", the fighter version of the Backfire.

i found small bug on loadout: wrong Kh-22 missile types

Kh-22 has 3 generations:

Generation 1 (Created for Tu-22K, other planes can't use them)

Kh-22PG (Kh-22) - anti ship missile (HE warhead)

Kh-22PSI - inertial homing (HE or Nuclear warhead)

Kh-22P - ARM (HE warhead)

Generation 2 (Created for Tu-22KD, Tu-95K-22 other planes can't use them)

Kh-22M - anti ship missile (HE warhead)

Kh-22MA - inertial homing (Nuclear warhead)

Kh-22MP - ARM (HE warhead)

Generation 3 (Created for Tu-22M2,M3 other planes can't use them)

Kh-22N - anti ship missile, LOW LEVEL mode enabled (HE warhead)

Kh-22NA - inertial homing (Nuclear warhead)

Kh-22NP - ARM (HE warhead)

Kh-32(in service since 1995)

Modernised version Kh-22N family, HOJ enabled, range increased, ballistic mode (same as Kh-15), visually same as Kh-22

if you need data for them, just ask...
