Ace Pilot wants a new identity

I've been able to do this already as I've been able to change the 'Ace Pilot' name to my own in the Options.NI file of SF2, but I'm trying to do this in SF2V and I keep getting 'Ace Pilot' up when I try to edit my pilot record. Here's what I've done in the SF2E Options .INI:

 

[Pilot]

LastName=Curtin

FirstName=Enda

Callsign=Piecemeal

Service=USAF

 

 

 

Is there something I've forgotten to do?

Why are you editing it there? You can change ACE Pilots name in the sim.

Yeah, should be under Options/Pilots.

*lol* Piecemeal, that was the 1st i did when i got Strikefighters 1 (many years ago).

As above written. Easy to change in the sim!

Call me a stickler for correctness, but when I add a new name in the sim, the game doesn't seem to recognise uppercase letters. Don't get me wrong, I know it won't help me fly better but it's just a little nuance of mine

It does recognize them. I have never had a problem with that ever.

D'oh! Just realised that it's my typing style that's the cause. For years I've been using the Caps Lock key instead of Shift to use capital letters.

 

I guess it's time to change my ways
