yeah, it won't even take an 06 level shadow (tested with the IL-28s, renamed --one reson I keep a couple of 06 level extracted cats around!)

could also use 'metricifation' of the cockpit ini...

wherever it says

FEET change to METERS

Knots changes to KMPH

FPS changes to MPS

add this line in the AircraftData section of the data ini:

UseMetricUnit=TRUE

and if you want to switch to animation key controlled canopies, drop this over the canopy statments (way down near the Engine section (will use Shift/0):

[Canopy1]

SystemType=ANIMATION

InputName=ANIMATION_10

AnimationTime=3.0

AnimationID=9

will control both.

Thanks Lindr for this Yak!!!

BTW I've noticed that in the latest SF-2 patch materials that are double sided don't cast shadows. IE: props discs are usually a transparent plane with a 2 sided material assigned. (Crude solution to prop shadow issue)

also, forgot to mention ...

add these 2 lines to the AircraftData section; this'll create the 'crashed and burning' article on the ground

DestroyedModel=IL-28_Destroyed.LOD

DestroyedEffect=VehicleFireEffect

while not an exact shape match, it IS a wreck!
