lederhosen 7 Posted July 16, 2011 Salute well I have flown three missions now. Its Jan 1917 so no one in his right mind would go up, which is why I haven't bumped into any Huns yet. But, in all three missions I always seem to to go long ways before I arrive at the starting point of the mission. Last one I flew over Paris, even saw the Eifel tower. Seems that half the time I fly arounf before actualy heading off to do the actual mission. Any reason why? Led
Olham 164 Posted July 16, 2011 You flew over Paris???? Something must be badly wrong there. Missions have several waypoints - but not that far out, I guess? (But I'm mostly flying German side...)
Burning Beard 14 Posted July 16, 2011 Sometime, especially if you use warp, your pilot just gets lost. If you use the tac screen, make sure you are following the blue line. I have been lost over Paris, almost to Berlin, one time I swear my pilot was going to Scotland. Beard
+Polovski 460 Posted July 17, 2011 Hi Lederhosen something is screwed there, do you have an English OS? If not have you set it up as per the FAQ? Have you installed all the updates for OFF (which version do you have?) ?
77Scout 3 Posted July 17, 2011 The comment about starting point confuses me. The starting point for your mission is always your home airfield. You can see the proposed flight route on the mission map prior to flying. If it is not to your liking simply cycle through alternate missions until you find one with a route that suits you taste. Missions never go anywhere near Paris, so yah, something is way wrong there.
+Polovski 460 Posted July 17, 2011 Make sure you are launching via the OFF Manager too.
+elephant 36 Posted July 17, 2011 I have noticed that too, in lone wolf missions! Many irrelevant, far away from action, waypoins are created. If I want to warp, I have to move to the next waypont (Shift+W) at least five times before doing so and not get lost.
Olham 164 Posted July 17, 2011 (edited) Well, in most air force operations, they do not simply fly straight to target and back. They use waypoints. That is for orientation, but also for tactical reasons. The OFF warp CAN sometimes go haywire, and you end up in Bavaria or in Scotland. To prevent this, I recommend Hasse Wind's simple method: before he warps, he opens the inflight map. Now he can see the aircraft symbol, and where it goes. Keep one finger on Ctrl. and the other over the "X" key - if the course is going wrong, you press both and get out of warp immediately. lederhosen 7 Posted July 17, 2011 Salute solved. It was the decimal thingy for the region etc. I didn't have to do that before, only after upgrading to HitR. Hope this wont upset my other programs (German). Anyway, thanks guys Led
Olham 164 Posted July 17, 2011 Which Windows version do you use, Lederhosen? With Vista and now with Win 7 I did never have those problems (I am German).

Olham 164 Posted July 17, 2011 Strange - you shouldn't have any problems. Are you sure you did patch your BHaH with the superpatch and the mini patch?
lederhosen 7 Posted July 17, 2011 Salute I have all the patches etc... So I experimented a little. 3 missions with and with out the region changes, makes no diff at all. But it seems to be an Ally 2 seater bug of some sort. 2 seater mission as it shoud be 2 seater way points German 2 seater as it should be German 2 seater way points scout mission scout way points
+Polovski 460 Posted July 18, 2011 If you patched BH&H fully first 1.32 + 1.32g, before HITR install? then patched HITR then I have no idea otherwise on that one. No one has had a specific issue with 2 seaters before. Try a different squad/type ? The regional fix is the main one for waypoint issues, warp will occasionally freak. Perhaps something is corrupt in the install? Try a scandisk.
lederhosen 7 Posted July 18, 2011 (edited) salute I have removed the active/quiet sector patchs (GME) and now the 2 seater missions seem to be fine. Will play around some more. Edited July 18, 2011 by lederhosen
Olham 164 Posted July 18, 2011 lederhosen, you can NOT have both the "Active Sector" and the "Quiet sector" mods in the right JSGME window. You must decide before, what type your sector is, and then activate the according mod; either "active" or "passive".
lederhosen 7 Posted July 18, 2011 yes I know that. I just removed the one in use at the time.
+Polovski 460 Posted July 18, 2011 oh dear glad you found it, but as you can see support is hard enough without having to deal with a modded install. So guys in future we will expect you to be vanilla install + patches before we will help. That's the first thing to try if you have problems otherwise we waste a lot of time :(.
