+JonathanRL Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 View File Lansen Package Most of the work on this bird was done by NeverEnought and Timmy; Big thanks to them. Avionics & Damage models optimisation by Wrench. Thanks a bunch for that! Original Readmes included. A32A 3D model by Timmy. Cammo Skin and Metal silver Skins by Timmy. Dark Green Skin & national decals by Knug. FM work by Lexx. Euro001 Pilot by Diego. Martin Baker Mk GW5 Ejection Seat by Ravenclaw_007. Swedish RB Missile Set by Ravenclaw_007. SF2 updates by NeverEnough. M123 Photoflash Bomb from Bunyaps Weapons package - thanks to whoever made it. Avionics Upgrade by Wrench. All I did was to seperate it all into the three service versions, as per the sources of the book "Lansen" by Sven Stridsberg. Versions included in this package: Swedish Air Force: A-32A Lansen (F17 Blekinge) J-32B Lansen (F1 Västmanlands Flygflottilj) S-32C Lansen (F11 Södermanlands Flygflottilj) A-32A: Attack version, fitted with bombs for ground targets and the Robot 04 for Ships. The basis for "CIC Club", the first strike that would annihilate Soviet Ships on the Baltic. Carrying a Thirdwire substitute for Bofors AKAN 20mm Guns. Standard Military Green skin. J-32B: All Weather Figther, however most used as a Night Figther and thus, this is as well. Its set to Night Only, so be mindful of this if you use it with the Campaign Editor. Carrying 4x 30mm Aden guns. Silver Skin. S-32C: Recon Version, carrying photoflash bombs. Added mostly for novelty value. Aside from that, you are left to your own speed and devices to evade the enemy. Experimental Low-Alt Skin. Enjoy! Submitter JonathanRL Submitted 09/10/2011 Category Other 1 Quote
Gunrunner Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Note: The A-32A is really a single seater, but no 3D model of this exists. Sorry, but... are you on drugs ? The only single-seater ever planned on the Lansen series was the J 32A day fighter, cancelled in favour of buying Hunters. True, only one of four A 32A in a flight was used with both radar and navigator, that doesn't make it a single-seater, all planes were dual-seaters. Quote
+JonathanRL Posted September 10, 2011 Author Posted September 10, 2011 If I make a mistake, there is no need to be rude. You are correct, I simply assumed they where single seaters due to most images showing a single pilot (and this makes sense) Quote
Gunrunner Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Damn, sorry, there was supposed to be a smiley in the first line, didn't mean it to come out as rude, just jokingly. -_-' Quote
+JonathanRL Posted September 10, 2011 Author Posted September 10, 2011 (edited) Oh, that changes things quite a bit :). Don´t worry about it then. At any rate, I submitted a edit, so a correction should be up soon. Regarding a thing I actually was not certain with is the S-32C Camo pattern. My book shows a S-32C in a similar camo but It does not look like the same one, so if its was not carried by S-32C, I just invoke artistic license :P Edited September 10, 2011 by JonathanRL Quote
Spinners Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 Great upload. Love this aircraft! I'm in awe of Sweden's (and SAAB's) outstanding series of combat aircraft starting with the J-29 Tunnan. Quote
Lexx_Luthor Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 FM needs updating. uh....yeah I did the FM but its very basic since at the time -- SF1 -- I sorta "gave up" on FM detail because the game's AI would epic fail with a good realistic seeming FM. If things have changed for you guys in SF2, then you will NEED an FM2 lol. Quote
+JonathanRL Posted September 11, 2011 Author Posted September 11, 2011 Lexx: Considering to how I have seen the Lansen fly, and the describtions in a few books about its handling, id say your FM does the job well. Its a medium fighter, a tad more sluggish then the Hunter, but not to the Phantom level - depending on what you are carrying, of course. Quote
Wrench Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 (edited) For A-32, shadowns need 'turning on' (and other as well) add this to the maini ini: [shadow] CastShadow=TRUE ShadowCastDist=10000 MaxVisibleDistance=800 cockpit needs repositioning: add this line to the AircraftData section near the top: CockpitCGOffset=TRUE use this for pilot position in cockpit ini: Position=0.0,3.173,0.71 on nose gear, up DampingFactor= to 3.0 will reduce the bounce too much "noise" in the radar display. Extract a new F-105D_Avionics ini from whichever cat its in, copy/paste the audioonly RWR statements, and rename to A-32A_Avionics.ini (for all them of them actually - rename to Lansen_Avionics.ini, and use for them all! I'm lazy!!! <gri>) I still have to check the others edit: add this to the A-32A's green skin textureset.ini: DecalNumberRandomize=TRUE DecalNumberBlockSize=69 DecalNumberStart=0 DecalNumberEnd=68 Edited September 11, 2011 by Wrench Quote
+JonathanRL Posted September 12, 2011 Author Posted September 12, 2011 (edited) Thanks, Wrench. Going to fix it up right now so expected a updated version. Also, I removed the second pilot from the A-32. Edited September 12, 2011 by JonathanRL Quote
Wrench Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 if you want, I'll send you the 2 avionics inis (I made some 'interestering' changes for the A and B models; one ini for each, slight different. haven't touched the recon bird.) Also have a "new" dds damage texture both need more decals (serials, ID numbers, etc) ...been looking everywhere, and can't find diddly!! (in between making tgas for baltika's North Cape so it has somewhre nice to fly with working water....) it's actually quite fun to fly! Timmy did a pretty damn good job with it! Quote
+JonathanRL Posted September 12, 2011 Author Posted September 12, 2011 (edited) That would be great :) been looking everywhere, and can't find diddly! Let me know if its sources you need. I know a few places. Edited September 12, 2011 by JonathanRL Quote
Lexx_Luthor Posted September 12, 2011 Posted September 12, 2011 JRL:: Its a medium fighter, a tad more sluggish then the Hunter I *think*I read, it was great at high altitude. Hunter, not so much. Javelin owned it up high. Quote
+JonathanRL Posted September 12, 2011 Author Posted September 12, 2011 Yes, but the Lansen was not designed to fill the role the Javelin did. Its main role was to be an Attack Aircraft. The Night Figther version was suplemented by J-35s soon enought :) Quote
