Somebody stole my nose! Help! (lol!)

Recommended Posts

found these parked the other day, while testing the Ethipoia/Eritrea terrain ... I think I been ripped off!!!

Vandels have broken onto my base, and stole the noses off my Tornados!!

Obviously, it's an AMI one (IDS/ECR???) ... but what is missing that cuases this? (it actuall is quite funny to see!)

Missing LOD file! You must have "tornado_GR.LOD', 'tornado_IDS.LOD' in same folder.

I think the problem is here:

// IFR

[Tornado-IFR]

SystemType=WEAPON_STATION

StationID=16

StationGroupID=8

StationType=EXTERNAL

AttachmentPosition=0.52,3.71,0.05

AttachmentAngles=0.00,-1.00,0.00

LoadLimit=2050

AllowedWeaponClass=FT

AttachmentType=ITALY,NATO

ModelNodeName=Nose

PylonMass=

PylonDragArea=

LaunchRailNodeName=

MinExtentPosition=

MaxExtentPosition=

FuelTankName=Tornado-IFR_MG

NoJettisionTank=TRUE

Try deleting "nose" from the ModelNodeName.

pretty much what i figgured... something being used in the loadout ini, as opposed to fake pilot. we'd had the same problem with the A-4L and other skyhawks that used the avionics hump as a jammer pod -- never showed up on parked birds until converted to the fake pilot method

now, to find that missing bit....

I have just thesame thing happening to my Tornado!

It's the Tornado IT-ECR (AMI)

Gonna take a peek at it again.

My best regards, Kodiak.

The IFR probe is being loaded on the plane as a weapon (FT I think), so it can be flown with it or without it.

The problem is that the aircraft nose is listed as node name for the IFR probe.

And the Tornado IDS/IDS-HARM AMI Early and Tornado IDS/IDS-HARM AMI Late also have thesame problem!

It's because Tornado-IFR and Tornado-IFR_MG are used in the weapons loadout!

They should be used in the pilots section as fake pilot!

It is a possibility, but that way the probe will always be loaded on the frame.

May be the modder wanted to be able to select the IFR probe in the loadout screen and fly with it or without it... :dntknw:

I think that's the idea...always there -- that's how we did it before FP.

commenting the NOSE section brought it back, with the probe assemlby sitting were it's supposed to.... (there is, I noticed, some severe decal bleed on the nose. it's an old model, what can ya say?)

I just fixed it with mine!

If you do not do it the fakepilot way, you will always be stuck with those parked Tornado's without a nose.

My best regards, Kodiak.

There are three Tornados having this problem.

The IDS/IDS-HARM AMI Early and Tornado IDS/IDS-HARM AMI and the Tornado IT-ECR (AMI)

Easy to fix with the fakepilot methode.

My best regards, Kodiak.
