Terrains that don't work...

Post April Terrain Fails

  1. 1. Of those terrains that don't work, or lock, which mods folder/exe are you running from???

As is seems that something between 30-50% of our add-on terrains have "malfunctioned" to some degree or another since the April 2012 patch; the question is as stated.

What do you mean don't work? I'm have 16 terrains working from the SF2:NA folder and countless from the other mod folders.

Well unless I am missing something, what doesn't work about some of them. Right now I'm just flying over them.

It's not so much third party terrains that are my problem; but flying campaigns based from a carrier. This problem has me driven demented at this stage, as I've extensively rewritten all the stock SF2 Desert campaigns so that they could be used by "Desert3 V1.3".

Strangely enough I can fly single missions from a carrier, but campaigns are a definite no-no at this time :dntknw:

hmm I have no problems with the standard bunch of terrains I use -but I don't add alot of mods at once and keep my installs quite theatre or era specific

Ok Im tracking now. I am sure its an ini edit somewhere. We will figure it out, we always do.

ini edit = something not right in the ships -- and of course, now that we've found an issue, I'm not going to be home for the next 72 hours ...

 

got 3 or 4 ships updated, and with all but a few ships in the GO folder, CubaOTC, Libya and another I forget, are working again -- even with carriers.

 

of course, KAW is a hole 'nother story ... since we're lacking straight-decked Essexes (Essesi??)
