Yak-23 Flora cockpit

Yak-23 Flora cockpit

For SF2 series with Expansion Pack 2!

EXPANSION PACK 2 required for Yak-23, you won't find this little day-only, stay-away-from-clouds fighter in any other release than Exp2!

(However you can use this pit in other planes like Yak-15/Yak-17 just fine)

Extract to your Aircraft folder, overwrite. Supplied data includes just modification to guns, making them two individual groups.

You did it!!!

Thank you so much. This thing is a joy to fly. Pit looks great, as usual. The next campaign I fly will be in the little Yak for sure.

STUNNING!!! Stary, you said that the Yak-9´s pit will come along too. Is that true? Brilliant!!!!!! For the purists, add this lines to the Yak-23_DATA.INI:

[AircraftData]

DestroyedModel=Yak-23_Destroyed.LOD

DestroyedEffect=VehicleFireEffect

EmptyMass=2000.4

EmptyInertia=4761.4,2696.8,9598.5

ReferenceArea=13.50

ReferenceSpan=8.73

ReferenceChord=1.55

CGPosition=0.0,0.0,0.0

CockpitCGOffset=TRUE

OnGroundPitchAngle=0.0

UseMetricUnit=TRUE

Component[001]=Fuselage

Component[002]=Nose

Component[003]=Tail

Component[004]=LeftWing

Component[005]=RightWing

Component[006]=LeftStab

Component[007]=RightStab

Component[008]=VertTail

Component[009]=LeftOuterWing

Component[010]=RightOuterWing

Component[011]=antenna <-----------------new

[antenna] <----------------new

ParentComponentName=Fuselage

ModelNodeName=antenna

ShowFromCockpit=TRUE

Now the antenna will shows up. A small but important add for me.

thanks! I disabled the fuselage from showing because it was causing some mesh interferences with my interior cockpit

any chances for a ww2 jap cockpit? like something for an Oscar, etc? Getting tired of (re)using AD Zeke pit, and Kess' Hurri pit all the time!! :biggrin:

check my WW2 Generic cockpits upload... of course the're dated, I learned alot after making them, but some might be good to reuse Kevin

i don't they're dated at ALL!!! Shoot, I used the Late WW2 1 (with framing) on the P-47 Razorback I just released. Works great!!!

hmmmm....maybe the mid-ww2-2.

I was thinking of something that had the gun breeches for the nose guns in the pit, ala AD's Zeke or the reallllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly old P-40B Wolf pit

and a telescopic or ring-and-bead sight

yah, I'm asking waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much for 30-odd ww2 players! :rolleyes:

Stary, I just wanted to say thank you for your stunningly beautiful early Russian jet cockpits. They really add something to the game.

DavidG, might I suggest also Mig-15 and Mig-17PF/PFU ones? :smile:

not perfect these are but as no one in all these years made one available...

Actually I was referring to all 3 cockpits Stary (hence 'cockpits'). I love your MiG 15 & 17 updates, which just look sensational (how are they not perfect!?). I'm a big believer that the planes interior is the most important part of any model. I'm tired of mods with great looking planes, that are completely ruined by sub-standard cockpits. You only get a good look at a planes exterior if you are messing around with the outside views, but you look at the interior throughout the entire mission and a bad one just ruins the whole experience for me (it’s the same with driving sims). I’d rather not fly the MiG-15 at all, than have to stare at another bad A-4 conversion. But now of course...

Thanks again.

David

PS. Any chance of a Vampire 'pit some day?
