hotrodss Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Hey folks, Having a small problem ( as you can see) with the tail sections on A-4s with the stock skins (USNGrey1 & USMCGrey1), the tail sections are clear?!?!?! When using 3rd party add-on skins there's no problem. The ini files have the correct texturesetxxx's, had the same problem when I added 3rd party skins for the F-4B, I fixed by adding parts of the stock a/c folder. Tried the same here but no luck. Has anyone else had this problem? Did I miss something? Thanks HR
+JonathanRL Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 If anybody know how to replicate that effect on a model, preferably so it can be turned on and off (on the entire aircraft), please contact me; but do not forget to assist the dear lad with his problem.
+Wrench Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 too many decals per mesh (most likely) and/or defective tga -although those usually turn the aircraft white
hotrodss Posted September 29, 2012 Author Posted September 29, 2012 (edited) too many decals per mesh (most likely) and/or defective tga -although those usually turn the aircraft white Ok, everything worked fined before I added the 3rd party a/c skins. So if I replace the tga files from a CLEAN version of WoV, that (should) fix it???? @JonathanRL...thanks for the chuckle UPDATE....tried fixing by adding tga file to 'cockpit' folder (this folder only contains a bitmap image the altitude readout tape), no success, still have clear tail. How about deleting the texturexxx ini for the stock a/c paint scheme (USNGrey1 & USMCGrey1), will that work? Edited September 29, 2012 by hotrodss
Spinners Posted September 30, 2012 Posted September 30, 2012 That definitely takes me back to my first dabble with SF Gold - definitely too many decals per mesh but I can't explain why it never happened when I got a better PC.
