Wrench Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 View File SF2 KAW Misc Items Pak SF2 Korean War Era Misc Items = For SF2, Full-5 Merged (Reccomended/Preferred) = This package contains some of the various miscellanious items needed/required for a full Stand-Alone KAW mods folder. In this zip you'll find the following folders: Ground Object /Objects/Guns /Objects/Weapons /Objects/Pilots Speech Menu Flight (both contain new menu screens) This is a particularly LARGE download, so give youself some time. Most of the USN vessels are those seen in the recently released WW2 PTO Naval Units Pak; some (like the various cargoships, trawlers, and so forth) you may already have. All are updated to SF2NA standard. Some of the weapons and pilots have also been released recently in some of the aircraft; just allow the overwrite when asked. They're the same items. As always, fairly easy to follow, highly detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. Also, give the "Notes" section a read too. If I've forgotten an item PLESE let me know, and I'll try to get it uploaded ASAP Good Hunting! Submitter Wrench Submitted 10/08/2012 Category Ground Object Mods Quote
Tannethal Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Hi there, since Wrench asked me to post some small fixes to the ships here they are: In your KAW Mod folder go to Objects\groundobject folder 1. Fixes for Fletcher Class DD: In the Folder Fletcher: rename: xFletcher_Col.LOD to Fletcher_Col.LOD Fixes Fletcher not being hit. Open Fletcher_Data.INI: [MissionData] section WarshipClass=DESTROYER add this line after the GroundObjectRole=WARSHIP line to have it show up as escort to your CV. [Hull] section StructuralFactor=40000.0 change to this to prevent it from being sunk by aircraft guns. 2. Fixes for CL-83 cruisers: Open Cleveland_Data.INI [MissionData] section FormationSizeBase=1 FormationSizeVariation=1 seems to prevent in single mission placement of ships in same location [Hull] section StructuralFactor=1000000.0 change to this to prevent it from being sunk by aircraft guns. 3. Fixes for Atlanta cruisers: Open Atlanta_Data.INI [MissionData] section FormationSizeBase=1 FormationSizeVariation=1 seems to prevent in single mission placement of ships in same location Result of a Single mission Intercept in a KAW Navy aircraft should look somewhat like this: A single carrier (DAT CVA34 SCB27 Deck ini editet for SF2NA) A single cruiser (Cleveland) Three Fletcher destroyers 1 Quote
captainschwarz Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Hi to all who made the KAW a wonderfull experience. Thank you! I am using the KAW-Campaign by Do335 and made a strange experience. When AAA is in the area my wingmen are calling: "Spike". And when they shoot at me, they call: "Break, He is firing" in red letters. like they do when a MiG is on my six. When AAA is firing on my wingies they behave like being pursued by an enemy aircraft. Is this caused, by the groundobjects? or by the campaign? Quote
+Stary Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 no, it's standard since few years now, wingmen report firing of AAA both on you and other members of flight, and the colour codes are the same as for missiles: red=refering to you, yellow =other flight member, blue =different flight Quote
captainschwarz Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 Hi Wrench, hi Stary, Thank you for your quick answer. I looked at the files, and found that the KS 19 is missing the KS_19data.ini file. In the others (KS 12, KS 19_P) there are data.inis they say: GunRadarTracking=FALSE Maybe only the KS 19 is responsible, because of the missing DATA.ini file? Quote
captainschwarz Posted March 22, 2013 Posted March 22, 2013 P.S.: I never made this experience in any other mod with AAA in words GUNS. Only SAM cause the call: "SAM Launch" in red, yellow, or blue, Usually flying trough AAA - Fire (GUNS) the wingies don´t break formation. and call nothing. Quote
Wrench Posted March 22, 2013 Author Posted March 22, 2013 because they're STOCK items, and don't need extra data inis -- they're pulled right from the ObjectData001.cat Quote
captainschwarz Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Hi Wrench you are right, copied the KS-19_DATA.INI from my NATO-Fighters 5 and tweaked the: "GunRadarTracking=TRUE" to FALSE. No efect. Seems really to be a game engine problem. By the way: Love the KAW misc Items pak. Especaly the pilots are looking great. Quote
Wrench Posted March 25, 2013 Author Posted March 25, 2013 irrc, the ks19 did NOT network to the SON-9s. otherwise, it would have specified that ini the data ini. all the Red AAA units that would network to the Fircan, are ALL already set up for it. There is no need to fiddle with things Quote
Do335 Posted March 27, 2013 Posted March 27, 2013 (edited) Hi to all who made the KAW a wonderfull experience. I've had that as well when flying the sabre. what's worse is AI break formation and usually lose altitude making it sitting duck for a2a. I went into, say, F-86E_DATA.ini and find HasRWR=TRUE and deleted it since the ac has no rwr. was fine after that. ofc the "firing" message is still there, but at least the "spike" message and AI evasion when being spiked is gone. Edited March 27, 2013 by Do335 Quote
captainschwarz Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Thank you Do335 will give this a try. But will use HasRWR=FALSE, so I can backdate if anything is going wrong. Quote
captainschwarz Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 To Do335 That works. No one calls: "Spike" anymore and the wingmen hold Formation with the leader flying trough heavy AAA. Someone should post it in Sabre-Pack Support Forum. Quote
captainschwarz Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 You really are: "The Princess of the ini-verse" Quote
