Building a new cockpit for F-5E tiger II

Hello everyone

Happy Christmas

These days SF2 getting better and better with your beautiful designed files

I think the mod of the F-5E Tiger is OK but the cockpit is really in low standard

I've seen the cockpit of the F-5E tiger II several times

It's more beautiful than Mirage Factory's built cockpit

Here is a pictures of F-5E-1 cockpit

Mirage Factory's cockpit about 30 or 40 percent look like that

But for example for MiG-29,,F-14,and F-4E it is about 95 percent

And a thing that is more important is this

All of the F-5E's are not including RWR receiver in their cockpit

I think If a guy interests in building it,its better to make one without RWR and one with it

That's all

I myself think it's necessary

But It's related to you If you do it or not

out of curiosity, few questions if I may

how many polys?

you plan to model full 360 deg 3D or 2,5D?

trackir optimized?

you plan to bake it or use standard mapping?

what about specular and normal maps? I'm still in the process of learning those

will it have build in custom animations?

 

anyway, looking forward...

common guys, seems he is new and english is not his prime language. Be a bit more gentle.

 

There was someone building a pit for the F-5 but have no idea about the current status.

 

First of all, the projects you see as wip take a long time to be finished. Most of downloadable planes are done in a timeframe of nearly a year or more. So all good stuff needs time.

 

Just be patient.

Actually sophocles is working on one, I'm only helping a tiny bit and I can tell you guys that it will be beyond epic...

i see his statement more of comparison than critic. he compared the current ravenclaw standart with the old tiger pit. the difference is enourmes.

 

he hasent used a clear way to espress himself.

OP tends to request a lot of stuff - nothing wrong with that - but in most cases, it already is present and people make due, since they rather want new stuff more rather then updated old stuff.

Our problem is, we knew all the stuff, just look ho long some of us are here. We knew the history of some mods, about who made it, the story behind TMF, the WIP shots .. the own problems during modeling stuff ... and then we have ... the new guys .. fresh from somewhere all over the world .. with no bad intension, just asking for XYZ in a less understandable way.

The didnt knew the history of CA or the guys around here, and that we grow to a kind of family here over the years. I had my own problems here at CA and it just happen due to my my missing knowlede about some things. Its just all about being new.

 

if he knew about the WIP F-5 HD project .. he wouldnt asking for a new pit and he has no idea about the amount of work we put into the stuff, all just see the "result" (the one who doesnt model in max) cant judge the endproduct .. thats the stuff i mean ;)

 

We are all old guys refering to internet history and game history, we have some guys who are creating terrains, some are building Ground objects and other building planes and during the time our respect between us grew, we knew each other and damn im happy to be a part of CA history!
