The project is being headed up by Ian Carmack and everything I've read says it's the real deal. I guess some media types who got to test it out got vertigo looking over virtual cliffs.

Use a multi function joystick, and you won't EVER need the keyboard (in game)!

The Oculus Rift provides two independent images, one for each eye, so your view should match whatever you’re able to see in real life. We can’t guarantee it’ll work for everyone’s eyes; you’ll have to try the Oculus Rift for yourself to be sure.
