bcyc Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Ok, this one is beyond ridiculous as far as being plausible but I had fun doing it. The A-1K Super Skyraider - an Air National Guard supplement to the A-10 that soldiered on into the '90s. Paint is simply a dark grey tint applied to the USN skin. This is the 148th TFS based in Pittsburgh ("City of Pittsburgh" is the noseart off a WWII B-29 that a friend of mine dug up and I lifted from a photo). Loadouts are similar to the early A-10s. 5 Quote

ignacioc91 Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Nice job!!! Would you mind uploading it? Quote
MAKO69 Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Not to ridiculous, a lack of wars in our past could have made this plausible, maybe not making it into the 90's, but the early 80's maybe. Here is a pic of a turbo raider that I have posted years before a must see for all Spad fans. 2 Quote
usafphantom2 Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Very Cool! Would like to see that in game.:-) Quote
bcyc Posted November 4, 2013 Author Posted November 4, 2013 I'll upload it at some point, but I have a lot of cleanup to do first and a few third party permissions to get. Still playing around with it. I'll get both this and the Super Thud out the door eventually. Whoa, I was looking for something like that turbo conversion. The re-engine makes it a little more plausible, but what the heck, who doesn't love a little 100LL? No one has done the Enforcer for SF2, right? Quote

A Westland Wyvern nose grafted onto an A-1 Skyraider would work for a quick mod. In reality this would work better for torque. The Skyraider was a TORK Monster anyways with a turbo prop that would only make it worse, so the counter rotating props of the Wyvern would help with the torque. The turbo raider built by Douglas had counter props too. Quote
bcyc Posted November 4, 2013 Author Posted November 4, 2013 Is that something that can be done via the "fake pilot" method or would you need a brand new 3d model? Quote
MAKO69 Posted November 4, 2013 Posted November 4, 2013 Not sure, some of the resident modders and builders would know if its possible. Quote
