+Jug 99 Posted December 12, 2013 Has anyone heard or seen some info on the USAF A/S/F-37 space plane. Heard a notice that it is completing a year in orbit this month. I guess the US can really keep a secret if we need to.
+daddyairplanes 10,243 Posted December 12, 2013 X-37. Been in orbit twice now. Bout the only complete info out there tho is that it exists, launch and recovery times.
+streakeagle 871 Posted December 12, 2013 It has been public news for some time. It is one reason that the USAF had no care about whether the NASA space shuttle was being retired... they had already developed one for their own purposes. They would like an upscaled version, X-37C, that could carry larger payloads including people.
MigBuster 2,884 Posted December 13, 2013 What - all the info is on Wikipedia what are you on about? Actually had no idea this stubby Space Shuttle thing existed till now
+streakeagle 871 Posted December 15, 2013 (edited) Keep in mind that they almost always have something that you don't know about So, given this thing has been public for quite some time, what else do they have that isn't public? +RAVEN 414 Posted December 15, 2013 Shouldn't it be called 'The un-secret space plane' now?
MigBuster 2,884 Posted December 15, 2013 Yes its perhaps not as secret as it was now there is a photo.
JediMaster 451 Posted December 16, 2013 Considering this started as a very public unclassified program, there's nothing secret about it other than what they have it doing. It's appearance and overall payload and other abilities are already out there. It's like suddenly saying "wait, we want to classify the existence of the F-22!" A bit too late for that. +streakeagle 871 Posted December 17, 2013 There's such a thing as an F-22?
