Catapult Just 1?

Question, Can a carrier/ship have just 1 catapult and only 1 aircraft ?

I'm not sure? The Hurricane Mk.1b had Cat rollers (small wheels) for the launcher and like Wrench said , it's a one way trip for the Aircraft. I have to make the launcher to fit the Hurri and maybe mod the Hurri some to make this work. Right now I'm just concept testing.
