Isn´t that normal? I wouldn´t have noticed any issue. Perhaps a bit if the missile wings are inside, but other than that, that's the way they were meant to be, IIRC

That's exactly normal.

It's called "Conformal Carry", and has been used for missiles since the F-4 Phantom

Roger, the bombs are carried on the AIM-54 conformal skids, or whatever they are called. Good pic anyway guys!

Those Sparrows are semi-recessed. The bombs and Phoenix missiles are not.
