I'm an Alpha driver too. I've got both, but I need more hands to fly and fight in the C. Despite my best efforts, I cant get the right HOTAS setup to work on my CH gear. I think I need a third arm...

Agreed... or more buttons (even Arma 3 has sort of maxed out the buttons...) as my Thrustmaster could use them too but it's a good stick so.... not complaining too much... and thanks as always...

Well after the drama of yesterday... got a bit lazy (man I'm getting old...).  Anyway 81st TFW will be the unit.  Back then they had WR so the skin will reflect it, just have to find a good crest though.

 

And for inquiring minds who want to know I don't like trolls, I have zero tolerance regardless of their position.  Sure I got it I'm not familiar with some things, but being a jackass won't get you anywhere with me.

Thanks man, yeah I agree, that's how I really know the Hog you know? I mean the two-tone grey is nice but the Euro is what I remember best on Hogs more than the current scheme.  Makes it look badass really.

I've seen only a handful of pics of the JAWS scheme, but I didn't realize it was full wrap around, I thought it was top and sides only.

 

I agree that I will always think of that Euro green when I picture an A-10 in my mind. The gray one just lacks soul.

Now that you bring it up that's a good point, it's not yeah... "cool".  Granted it works so I can't disagree on that point however given my experience downrange but agreed, they always look better in green

Moved the tailcode a bit, and went with a bird circa 1990 (given the reference from Airliners.net) just to get something going, though methinks that the crests are a bit small, so I'll probably tweak them a bit larger.

I got the crests sized pretty good (I think, seems good anyway) so when I wake up with a fairly fresh mind I can see how it looks and probably upload after that.  I wish Veteran's Day was longer but it is what it is.

Is the same scheme used during Desert Storm? Or at least is how I remember those back then.

I think so (there was that not adopted "Peanut" scheme that's all I'm aware of) but in my internets travels I found this site which seems to confirm it:

Also I just got back from my walk, so let me get a shower in and I'll record that track for you as well.  I haven't forgotten...

 

Mind you I've never done skin work so my normal reference workflow never included it (I like it supporting me that's for sure....) as I just wasn't interested at the time, but it's just another jet
