+JSF_Aggie Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 View File Alternate Tile For Operation Desert Storm Terrain These are alternate tiles made from satellite images for the DS terrain included in the latest version of ODS for SF2. They are 1024x1024. They can be used in other terrains that use the stock desert tiles, however I did not make all tiles from the stock SF2 desert tile set, only those used in the DS terrain. For example, I did not create the river tiles. Submitter JSF_Aggie Submitted 02/24/2015 Category Tilesets for Terrains 1 Quote
+Menrva Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Awesome update for the DS terrain! It's a pity that there are no river tiles since I'm reworking the terrain to have them, maybe in the future... Many thanks for sharing! Quote
+Dave Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 These tiles are awesome JSF. I even used them for the default Desert and the Desert 4.0 terrains. What a complete make over it gave them. Thank you for making them. Quote

Many thanks for sharing! river tiles are easy peasy ... just think in layers. I've made, literaly, dozens when I needed them for the CenUS map. If you have a question on 'how to..' , just ask! Quote

If you have a question on 'how to..' , just ask! Thanks Wrench, actually I know it's mainly a layer thing, I'm pretty experienced with Photoshop, but tiling is still an issue for me, mainly because the edges of a river tile may not fit the one next to it, I don't know how to explain my problem with easy words. Anyway JSF_Aggie is planning to make these at a later time, so no worries; however if you have a link to a tutorial here or anything else, I'd appreciate it, just PM me. Quote
Wrench Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 they line up just fine if you use the "next tile over". remember... all river tiles are 'centered' along the east/west axis (left to right) unfortunately, never wrote a tutorial. just went on and made what tiles I needed! :) Quote
+Menrva Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 I didn't know they were 'centered' left to right, good to know. Thanks! Quote
