Brentw Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 Has anyone ever been able to modify the AI in SF2? I know within the mission editor and in the completed mission, changes can be made to increase the experience and training of enemy pilots but what about the core AI structure? I also just bought Track IR 5 and it works very well with SF2. I disable the Z axis so objects appear at their true size and distance. Many many thanks to all the modders here. I'm currenlty flying the Israel extension pack and it is thrilling. Brent 1 Quote
+Stratos Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 What exactly Is for you modding the AI? Quote
Brentw Posted October 11, 2015 Author Posted October 11, 2015 Hi Stratos, I was thinking of a mod to make the AI more aggressive and following through during an attack. Brent Quote
+Wrench Posted October 11, 2015 Posted October 11, 2015 you can tailor individual aircraft by adding certain line to it's data ini. For example, from the F-86 Sabres in the KAW pack.. [AIData]MinAIQuality=VeteranMaxAIQuality=Ace [DogfightVeteran]LookoutAngle=270DefensiveAngle=120ChanceDefensiveTurn=75ChanceBreakTurn=100ChanceHardTurn=100ChanceTurnDirection=100ChanceContinue=25ChanceCheckNewTarget=50ChanceUseVertical=100FightWithoutAmmo=1MaxCannonRange=800OptimalCannonRange=300MinCannonRange=50;MaxRollForGunAttack=180CannonBurstLengthShort=0.5CannonBurstLengthLong=1.75;MaxRudderForGunAttack=0.09;MaxRudderForManeuver=0.25 [DogfightAce]LookoutAngle=270MaxCannonRange=800OptimalCannonRange=300MinCannonRange=50;MaxRollForGunAttack=180CannonBurstLengthShort=0.5CannonBurstLengthLong=1.75;MaxRudderForGunAttack=0.09;MaxRudderForManeuver=0.25 but these adjusments must be made to ALL aircraft's data inis that you'd want to "adjust" NOTE: edited to remove the F-86 specific flight values Quote
+Viper63a Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 I was wondering the same thing! Good info! Thanks Wrench... =V= Quote
+Fubar512 Posted October 12, 2015 Posted October 12, 2015 Those values under "AIData", are specifically tailored for the F-86 flight models, to discourage the AI from pulling past the stall. Using them, say, for an F-15, will hamper the AI's ability to use that model's higher AoA capabilities. Quote
Brentw Posted October 15, 2015 Author Posted October 15, 2015 Many Thanks Wrench!! I was thinking of trying them in WWII planes for your Battle of Britain Terrain and the planes during that time period. Best Regards, Brent Quote
