Spudknocker Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 Hello! So I had an earlier post about weirdness happening usually at around 80% where sounds and the mission starts while the loading screen is still up. I traced this back to issues with ground object and terrain files. Ive also noticed that this issue comes up after my Norton antivirus software does a scan. Has anyone else had any trouble with antivirus software destroying Strike Fighters 2 files? Any ideas on how to stop this from happening? Quote
+dtmdragon Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 (edited) Years ago when I set my current PC up I researched getting the best performance out of it etc. I found out that Norton was one of the worst ant-viruses to have in terms of affecting game performance. One of the best is reportedly Avast (which also happen to be free). I made the switch and have used Avast ever since. I found that out from a Microsoft Flight Simulation X (FSX) forum in a master post dedicated to getting the best out of your PC to run FSX. Edited November 9, 2015 by dtmdragon Quote

See post #38 at the link below ( on your AV software, you must exclude your SF2 install and mod folders, and probably the .dll files also) : http://combatace.com/topic/80293-and-so-sf2-decided-to-crash/page-2 Regards Quote
