russouk2004 Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Ive added a\b effects and bump mapping to the S-5... are the only differences to the 3d model of the S1,S3 and S4 and the M2000-5F ...just the antennaes and the pylon arrangements?....obviously the skins differ slightly but are all basically mapped the same.. if the 2 differences are just the antennaes and pylons then I can make the antennaes and remove the un needed pylons to export the model I have ,so I can add the effects to the S1,S3,AND S4 and the 5F cheers 6 Quote

leodagan76 Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 You can also post here, even in english. Lot of guys with an imortant knowledge regarding Mirage will help. http://www.checksix-forums.com/viewforum.php?f=279 Quote
ace888 Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 I assume you have the Max files? Would it be possible that you just do all of the "variants" for all the users of the Mirage 2000? This way, no need to use the "fake pilot method" Thanks Russouk Quote
76.IAP-Blackbird Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 any chance of updated twoseater? Quote
russouk2004 Posted December 13, 2015 Author Posted December 13, 2015 ive only got the one file...thnx for infos ive no plans to do any more than the effects as ive plenty of my stuff to do....sorry... Quote
Crusader Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Antennaes and the pylon arrangement and... the end/rear of the fairing from wing to fuselage where the Spirale chaff dispensers are mounted on later variants Theres also the Eclair chaff/flare dispenser box on the underside of the rear fuselage on the early variants Quote
russouk2004 Posted December 13, 2015 Author Posted December 13, 2015 ive only got s5 model so will do the ones which are the same...(give em ab effect and bumpmaps...the others will have to as as is... 2 Quote
russouk2004 Posted December 15, 2015 Author Posted December 15, 2015 (edited) Im getting so many pm`s and other requests,im swamped....If im given the other models,I ll add the afterburner effect and the bump maps, and thats it....I cannot really devote time to all the demands,as ive my own stuff to complete when able, due to RL,sorry,....I will add though....dont take it the wrong way....we need people to do as I did....get 3ds max....fire it up and learn by trial and error....and asking for advice....and start making stuff...once you get into 3ds max....it gets easier....there are hundreds of things in the programme, but suprisingly few are needed to make a model for SF series....honestly... I am more than willing to make "How to,in 3ds max" tutorial vids... Edited December 15, 2015 by russouk2004 2 Quote
denissoliveira Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 then a question: how to create the SM_ and Bump map textures? Quote
russouk2004 Posted December 18, 2015 Author Posted December 18, 2015 (edited) Bump maps are created easily with nvidia photoshop plugin...and spec maps are edited texturess, lighter the are ,the more "shiny" that area....darker areas are more matt... https://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-texture-tools-adobe-photoshop 2 vids to show basics of normal map and spec map creation... I always use a jpeg with the template and a uniform grey colour, with tha a\c details but minus shading, dirt and decals etc...as you dont need them to show in the bump maps and spec maps...only wear and tear, and rust and flaky paint and shiny ordull rivets etc are requiring the spec mapping making the spec and bump maps.wmv spec and bump maps in max.wmv Edited December 18, 2015 by russouk2004 1 Quote
