A plea to the skinners...

Recommended Posts

Well, let me start by saying that I´ve been bitten by the Super Mystère bug, as most of you. Blame on Stary  ! I just found this awesome Hondurean Sa´ar in a couple of a very atractive colors. Could any good skinner here (we have a bunch) take this job?

I don´t have much more info about them to help. Anyway, thanks in advance!!!! :help:

Wilches,

Do you know if there is a decent template for this plane?

The only ones I found here for the Super Mystere and Saar are the old TW templates for the SF1 series.  These would have to be relined and riveted to start with.  Will take more time to recreate the template than to paint the plane.  But if no other templates are available and I find the time, I will give reworking these templates a shot.  No promises.

Most handsome that.

I believe they should fulfill their treaty obligations in the South East Asia Conflict and assisting in the contested islands campaign.

don't suppose anybody had checked the download sections?

I distinctly recall FAH Sa'ars having been done; in 3 different schemes

silver

camo (sort of faded)

camo (regular)

cause they're sitting on my HD....

Yes, I have and love them all. The schemes shown above are pretty much unique and never released. The TW template is useless.

I have some SMB2 high resolution skins (2048x2048) & decals in the work (mostly French and Israeli silver & camo skins) , need lot of work to do but I'll add Hondurean Sa´ar to my to do list for sure (now we've got  Stary's awesome cockpits to go with)

Nice catch : like the French camo "Vietnam" style ( the first camo in use in the FAF was the Israeli in the Early 70s, then the Vietnam and finally the French one )

Eole,

Do you have a template for the Super Mystere / Saar that is better than the  TW one?

I had started working on one but no sense in duplicating efforts if you are willing to share.

A bit more tweaking.  Still in primer gray skin.  Hopeful it'll be ready for paint soon.

My progress on the SMB2 Skin / template (the first is 90 % ready need to add some noise to the texture, and modifying the Bump and specular files accordingly to the Rivets & panel lines )

Eole,

WOW!  Your template for the SMB2 is beautifully detailed.  I can't imagine mine is useful anymore.

I think I'll wait on your skins!
